The last page in the most recent issue of Portugal's PlayStation: The Official Magazine features a pair of eyes you might be familiar with, depending on how frequently you stare into the baby blues of your video game protagonists. Scrawl captured the image of the teasing brow, which appears to belong to one Cole McGrath, hero (or anti-hero) of inFamous. That observation is supported by the text following the image, which translates to "the announcement of a great PlayStation 3 exclusive sequel in the next ROPS." (ROPS is the acronym for the magazine's Portuguese edition.)
Now that the pile of evidence indicating a sequel to last year's charged action game is teetering into the clouds, we think it's safe to expect some form of announcement at E3. In fact, we'd be shocked if ... no? We can't use that one anymore? Fair enough.

Before any one starts screaming "ZOMG another Pre-E3" can you call the GameInformer KZ3 article or this an actual leak? They gave both publications(one that they own or at least has the official moniker) the information, in which case Sony was aware of the magazines release dates. So to call theses "leakes" wouldn't be any where close to being true

Is anyone calling this a leak? It looks like a teaser to me, and that's all that Joystiq seems to be calling it.

This isn't exactly a leak. I think everyone saw this game coming. So it shouldn't be shocking.

some may see it as a leak....I mean fact is that its an ad that seemingly foretells of something that hasn't been foretold of in this manner in larger regions....

Still haven't beaten the first one.
I was going through it on good mode then out of nowhere it over-wrote my good data with my evil data that I had so I didn't have to go through the itnro part again. I was pissed.

So now we have news of LBP2, Killzone 3, Motorstorm 3, Resistance 3, and inFamous 2.
I don't think Sony are gonna have any games left to announce at E3.
Probably cos their entire keynote will be about PS Move. =(

All they need to 'win' E3 is a new Last Guardian trailer and gameplay video.
And a release date for fall/winter.

I respect your opinions, but you're wrong.
Ok, I loved Uncharted 2, it's my GOTY for 2009, without a doubt.
But I really do miss Jak and Daxter, those games had great story and gameplay, and I want to explore that world further. Remember how good it looked on the PS2? Think about what they could do on the PS3?

I personally have had ratchet and clank fill my platformer void enough that I do not crave a jak and daxter. A new one would be nice, but I personally would prefer another uncharted.

I thought the sequel was confirmed as soon as you completed the story. It was then backed up by the good sale numbers. I think this is just a reminder, and I remember, and are really looking forward to it. Bring it on!

I enjoyed Infamous 1, it had its charms and all, but I don't think I'll be jumping on too quick. They really only failed in one aspect, and that was making the open world a necessary part of the game itself. It's a problem that a lot of open world games have been having, where the open world is a travel system, and that's about it and could be replaced with a mission select menu.
it's a real fine line, and I know it's a personal gripe and some people will find the open world of Infamous to be completely awesome, but I didn't. While the mobility upgrades are awesome, especially wire grinding, I didn't like the progression as much as in crackdown (which may have been more about the way the world was set up than anything else.)
GTA4 did open world right, and to a point RdR does as well (less so and the ability to pretty much instantly travel anywhere in the world is much appreciated)
So for Infamous 2 I hope they make the open world aspect more a part of the game. More mobility upgrades and options would help with that as well as more pick up missions.
So for me Infamous is a wait for the price drop game, but right on the edge of buy at full price if they clean up the few minor quirks that hurt 1.

I'm not going to lie, when I first saw it, instead of thinking of inFamous, I thought of Tenchu. I didn't play any of those games after Wrath of Heaven, but I think that was for good reason.
I'd be all for more of that, though.

As great as inFamous was, my brother would rather have Sly 4. The same way I would rather have Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier on PS3. I guess Insomniac is the only developer that's sticking to the franchise that put them where they are today (Ratchet and Clank).

Technically it was Spyro that put them where they are today, just like it was Crash Bandicoot who put Naughty Dog where they are today

If I worked at suckerpunch for 10 years and they said, "ok we're making another sly game." I'd probably quit and go to another studio with inFamous on my resume. Sly was good but it's been done and it's time to move on
