The "official" Ubisoft online store, UBIShop, is featuring the Collector's Edition of Splinter Cell: Conviction on sale for 50 percent off. That means Mr. Fisher's face-breaking-(via urinal)-adventure can infiltrate your Xbox 360 for $35 -- for an unspecified limited time.
The Collector's Edition is bundled with (that possibly defective) USB drive packed with downloadable assets, art book, decals, comic book and other random doohickeys. We're following up with Ubisoft to find up when it'll put two in the back of this sale's skull.
[Thanks, Ali Mir]

Not sure if you did this but If you clicked 2nd day shipping but if you did then it's free for some reason.
I accidentally did it when I saw the ridiculous ground-shipping price of $9, so I was curious and checked 2nd and :boom:, free.
So yea, everyone make sure to click 2nd day shipping.

rv - Some people don't frequent slickdeals.
Or any of the other deal sites. I do, but that doesn't mean I'll begrudge a post here about a great sale. It may be a bit late, but it's VG related and I appreciate it the same.

Other than the broken USB, the collectors edition is pretty good. I got it with $10 store credit at Best Buy two months ago and now it's even cheaper!

You'd think they could set up shop somewhere in Canada considering they have a Montreal division.

They also have a smaller branch in Vancouver, although that company isn't directly part of Ubisoft.

Well considering that it was Memorial Day weekend, on top of the mass orders they are getting with this deal, I'd say the time waited isn't so bad so far.

PC owners get a bit shafted on this one, again. The PC version is download-only (with a stupid "if you want to download again, you'll have to pay for the privilege" policy), a measly $2.50 less than the 360 version, and zero of the "collector's edition" extras that I actually care about (art book, "making of" stuff).
I might buy it if the Steam version was that price, since at least you can download that version again whenever you need to.

35bucks! Whoa! It is a very good to see an actual Publisher realizing that lower prices does not equal low quality. I absolutely loved Splinter Cell Conviction and I got many hours of enjoyment out of it. Even in the middle of playing recently released titles such as ModNation Racers, Red Dead Redemption, and Mario Galaxy 2 I still pop SC:C in the ole 360 weekly. For anyone who has not played SC:C yet...this is the perfect time to pick it up at a very respectable price. You will be glad you did!! More DLC to come along with weekly free stuff.

Just fyi, you can get a even better deal on the PC by going here: http://gc.digitalriver.com/store/ubina/en_US/html/en_US/pbPage.BuyOneGetOneFree
You can get Splinter Cell 1, or PoP:SoT, Beyond Good and Evil, etc for free along with Conviction. Kinda makes up for the lack of collectors stuff.

Love this game.
"WAH, Splinter Cell went casual!"
"WAH, no spies vs. mercs!"
"WAH, I can't pick up dead bodies!"
This game is awesome. If it is dumbed down, I don't give a damn. Good game is good game.
Buy it.

I still haven't heard anything about the faulty pre-order codes (either you got nothing or the wrong thing... in some cases the right thing) any updates on it?
Phoned service a week after release, haven't really bothered me since but i was just wondering, anyone?

As did I. I found both AC games pretty boring. They're well made, butthey just don't hook me. And I love stealth, conspiracy theories, etc, so I don'tknow why it didn't hook me, but it just didn't.

Anyone who has ordered this collector's edition from the Ubisoft store, can anyone confirm if it came with the Ghost Recon: Future Soldier "beta" key as well? I picked up the standard edition when it came out, have not opened it yet but on the outside it states it comes with the VIP Beta access key for Ghost Recon, I wasn't sure if this was exclusive to pre-order copies or if this collector's edition has it as well.

Mine just came today. Came with the Future Soldier beta key. It doesn't seem to have the "Digging in the Ashes" comic book, though, and I'm not sure how the credit card USB thing is supposed to work.

Does everyone here who has posted that they ordered Splinter Cell Conviction even at the discount price, realize that by doing so as well as buying other games from Ubisoft that it makes the company more determined to use harsh Digital Rights Management methods against gamers.
Today it is the PC port, and when Ubisoft determines that console gamers need the same treatment, meaning that one day you may not be able to return to play the game after they remove support from it.
It is this fragmented refusal to ally yourselves with other gamers for a common cause against the DRM methods being currently used that permits game companies from dividing and conquering gamers, and depriving us of what we consider fair treatment.
Will you; the console gamers seek and call for support from us in the PC only camp when you one day fall under the corporate wheels of Ubisoft or other gaming companies.?
To each one their own conscience; however, as you see other suffer and beg for help and you keep quiet and fail to act, who shall act and voice support for you when all the others are gone.
