I'll give it a try on my ps3 if they make a 1 week trial or something like that.

I'm waiting till the day someone come up with the idea of making a Console-Based MMO with combat from the likes of god of war, ninja gaiden, etc... I don't want to use skill and see the character attack and wait, and use it again, i want dynamic combat.

Monster Hunter Tri - All the annoyances of a full MMORPG without the other players.

@ Shag

He said he wanted console-MMO gameplay with dynamic combat
sounds like Monster Hunter Tri to me.

Bashing dragons with stuff = annoyance? I am confused. Must be a personal thing

@spooky

He said MMO. Monster Hunter Tri isn't an MMO. It's basically a co-op RPG.

Whatever you wanna call it, it's killing the time waiting for FFXIV and Diablo III. The gameplay still seems reminiscent of the instanced adventures from Guild wars. the only difference is, you can't actually 'see' the other 99 players in each server gate, but you can still interact with them.

Still for a console, not bad

@Spooky

I don't really disagree with anything you said. But, the distinction was wanting an MMO with real time combat and whether or not MHT feels like it's an MMO or not, the fact of the matter is that it's not an MMO. Not bad for Wii, or any console, but not an MMO.

I hope they clean this one up then and address the problems. It'd be great to have DCUO be a solid option. Got tired of City of Heroes. :(

If the customisation is good enough then I'll switch to this from champions online, but right now I'm waiting for a trial or whatevs.

$OE hasn't done anything innovative in quite some time, and my expectations are low for DCUO. Plus; consoles are not MMO friendly, and until one comes along to change my mind I'll continue to think that way. When you try to please both the console and the pc crowd you wind up not pleasing neither. I'm not sure what's being done here that wasn't done in CoX or CO.

John Smedley hasn't had an original thought since he rode the coattails of Brad McQuaid back on EQ in 1999.

Sounds... uh... I don't know. I'm at least curious. The only online rpgs I'm really hyped about right now are FFXIV and WKC2, but for me there's no such a thing as too much online rpgs.
