Crackdown 2 Achievements are just wonderful
45
At first glance, the Achievements in Crackdown 2 appear to encourage nothing but hours of grinding. Complete every blah blah, find every yadda yadda; that kind of thing. Scroll further down, however, and you'll remember why you love the Achievements from the first Crackdown. Rather than list them all, we'll give you just this one:

It's a burden but the more money Joystiq makes the better. Just glad it isn't a laggy one like some sites.

'High Flyer' from Crackdown 1 showed me that achievements can be more than just digital pats on the back. Can't wait to try out some of the Crackdown 2 cheevos.

Damn, these are going to be awesome.
- Pass a vehicle back and forth between Agents 3x using UV shotguns. Vehicle must not hit the ground
- Drive an Agency SUV into an airborne helicopter.
- Alone or with another Agent, kill an enemy with a mounted turret while airborne and upside-down!
- Create 30 explosions in 60 seconds.
- Leap from one fast moving vehicle to another.
- From the top of full-height Agency Tower, leap into the chimney stack and live to tell the tale.

But ME2 and SCC isn't 360 exclusive, they are also on PC.. It's like saying that ME2 and SCC is PC exclusive.

Just consider them a Microsoft exclusive and call it a day. Why quibble over this Windows / Xbox exclusivity thing?

This will be the first game that I will buy with no intention of playing the campaign mode or the multiplayer mode.
I am just going to collect agility orbs (doing this in part 1 was possibly the most fun I've ever had in a video game) and I am going to get these awesome Achievements (not for the points, but just for the fun of trying to complete the tasks).

If you're going to reference Die Hard with an achievement then make it the first one, not the James Bond stupid of the last one which kiddified John McClane's catchphrase..
It should be:
Yippee-Kai-Yay: Shoot lots of people through a table and throw a body through a window onto a police car.

I heard on the Giant Bombcast that the Agency voice guy will make comments when you earn achievements.

Looking forward to this game. I loved the first one. I got all 1,250 achievements. Hopefully I'm able to get them all for the second one as well.

Hopefully this implies that they have worked on the driving. In the first Crackdown, I never got anywhere near the level-up to do any of the cool car transformation stuff they kept showing in the game. I hardly got any of the stunt rings or won any of the stupid races either.

Same here. Not because driving was necessarily bad in the game, but because running around and jumping was just so much cooler.

Driving was the last thing I leveled up, and that was just so I could get the cheevos and the leveled up cars. I just kept driving over gang members till I got it. Still haven't won all the races or hit the stunt rings, but the leveled up vehicles are great for just causing mass mayhem

How has the first one aged? I haven't played it yet. The demo didn't hook me, but I know it's crazy cheap now.
