For the remainder of the videos, you'll have to head past the break. One provides a quick rundown of the sequel's improvements, while the other gives us an overview of the multiplayer functionality. And if all of that hacking and slashing gives you a touch of the Lucille Twos, then maybe you should just check out the motionless stills in our gallery below.

Smells like... fail.
They should have looked for a better voice for the trailers - this guy sounds like some 13 y.o. geek who was bedtime fantasies of scantly clad elven women. Yikes.

As long as it has another Inphyy-putting-armor-on-like scene, I'll buy it!

I play the demo and I don't know how they did it but somehow the developers of this game managed to suck all the fun out of a 1500+ hit combo. Not sure who it is outside of Japan who enjoys this genre. The concept sounds good but they rarely are worth playing.

I was amazed by how poorly the demo level was chosen. Quit out to dashboard in revulsion. 1000 guys that stand and wait to be slaughtered, followed by one monster that can shave 20% off with one hit and can't be stunned. Balance much?
Also the blocking is both front-facing only, and doesn't interrupt your attack animation. Maybe good maybe bad depending on how you like your brawler strateegery. I remember the first N3 having a decent framerate. Now the attacking animations seem to have 6 frames at best. It's not even Devil May Cry 1 smooth.

I had the same thought when I was playing the demo...
It seems that people saw Devil May Cry and went "Oh, people love combos! Let's give them combos, and make them HUGE!", instead of realizing that we love combos that are actually different... XXXXX isn't a combo... YYYYY isn't either.

The "improvments" video mentioned nothing about fixing what made the other game suck. Mainly, that only two characters had more than 3 levels...and that NONE of the characters could play outside of their defalut maps.
I really want to be excited by this, but I've seen nothing to reassure me that the'yve learned from the mistakes of the first title.

God, I remember playing the first game and being put off by the terrible VA. Gameplay wasn't that great either.

Ninety Nine Nights wasn't bad, I think it just suffered due to comparisons (at the time of release) with Dynasty Warriors and Kingdom Under Fire, two games I've never played. So being new to the genre, I enjoyed Ninety Nine Nights. That being said, after a while, it was an incredibly difficult, frustrating, and repetitive game-- because if you didn't complete a level, you'd have to start the entire level all over again. I also remember the game being stingy with achievements, you could spend hours/day playing without garnering anything.

Ok, here you go. Oops! That was the minus button. I'd feel bad if it were an accident.

I just found it UNUSUAL how he seemed to put EMPHASIS on certain WORDS. It's kind of ANNOYING after a WHILE.

Are they going to have a plot this time? I don't know if they just cut stuff out, but I'd have characters allying with people I've never heard of against people Ive never heard of for reasons I was never clear on. Then someone dies, and I'm supposed to feel sorry for them. I think. (To be fair, this was years ago. But if it was memorable, I'm sure I'd have remembered SOMETHING. Like, any single characters' name or motivation.)

If my memory serves me correctly didn't you have to command the armies? That is one thing i hate more than anything I dont know why but have never liked having to control my character and then worry about the damn army i dont think i made it past the second level due to that.
