Honestly, I did not enjoy Halo Reach as much as I thought I would. So, just Battlefield Bad Company 2 for me (and Tf2) :D

Hey, some of us are indeed disappointed, I'll not deny that. But spare me the talk about "Spec-ops" rip offs. Spec-ops was hardly original... see many of the Tom Clancy games (GRAW, R6) for examples of games with co-op missions outside the main campaign.

@Special Agent Steve

+∞(infinity symbol) for TF2.

The game is $20 and has more content, updates, balance, etc... than COD. It was also a $1 at one point, and it came with the Orange Box (so it was even cheaper).

For the price of Black Ops map packs ($20), or two Halo: Reach map packs, you could get a much better experience with TF2.

There doing what MW2 is doing - Single Player Campaign, Spec Ops (4 player co-op) and Multiplayer. I'd speculate that they have some Horde Mode type game but not zombies which will be part of Spec-Ops. I think they should have kept 4 player campaign.

I heard they're making a seperate campaign for co-op, kinda like in SC Conviction. If that's the case, i'm not gonna complain.

co-op (at least split screen) didn't work very well for W@W

If they can come up with something that's on-line co-op, like Resistance 2's idea, then that might be something really cool. But yeah, otherwise, no big deal.

R2's co-op was terrible. And, yeah, the split screen co-op didn't work that well in W@W because the graphical sacrifices were too big. However, the 4-player online co-op was fantastic.

I wish I had more friends with ps3's...never got to try the 4-player online co-op for W@W.

Didn't play the co-op for Resistance 2 much, some people really, really liked it though. I tried it for about 1 hr and it didn't strike my fancy too much (my one buddy and I tried to do it but kept getting killed).

I found it to be very disappointing. It's wasn't nearly as good as the SP campaign and as a result was a big let down after Resistance 1's superb split screen co-op.

BTW, feel free to add me on PSN. I play most multi-platform games on the 360, but I do play most of the big PS3 exclusives. Maybe we can hook up for some LBP2 or something else down the road? I'm "Thraxen" on PSN... I actually have a "Vidikron" account too, but it's my Japanese account.

Why do they choose to follow IW's example now, of all times??

I enjoyed W@W's co-op campaign (and zombie mode), and is what helped differentiate them from IW's titles and finally have a viable CoD of their own. Why they'd take half of that away is beyond me.

Let's hope they don't borrow too heavily from MW2's multiplayer...

Just more evidence that they are using an outdated engine, outdated netcode, and are simply trying to cash in on all the sheep that will buy this game.

Call of Duty is lagging behind the times, every Halo game has had co-op, even Perfect Dark on the N64 had co-op.

This will have co-op mode, so it can't be said that this game doesn't have co-op.

No campaign co-op but it has a seperate co-op mode. Cool, because there's no need to be so needy and picky and bitchy. I haven't played a CoD online since CoD 2. The single player experience is worth it enough for me. The environment and set pieces and action are awesome. I don't care about the engine needing updated and what not. I still play Elevator Action on the NES so nothing is outdated to me.

Also, with the co-op being seperate, this could be a great thing for those hungry for some zombies. Maybe since it's seperate, they can include zombies without having to include them in the single player experience. The co-op part can be as crazy and outlandish as they want without worrying about tarnishing the single player campaign.

Popular or not, I always have and always will enjoy these games. They're great and I have a such a great gaming experience with them. I can't wait for E3.

Didn't the co-op experience in W@W feel watered down for anyone else? I mean, it didn't even include all the levels, just select ones. If there was ANY level I wanted to play in that game cooperatively it was the Black Cats level. I just don't see why you would get so sour over an experience that is/can be potentially marred by tacking on co-op just for the hell of it. I would personally enjoy a fully fledged, separate co-op campaign much more than just having the option to play the single player with friends. Splinter Cell: Conviction anyone? That is how you integrate a co-op experience into a game like that... you make it a different experience.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed playing the campaign with friends, but as soon as I/we discovered Nazi Zombies, that co-op option collected the proverbial dust. Besides, who can HONESTLY say that they dumped more hours into the co-op campaign of W@W when there was the brilliance that is Nazi Zombies? You lie.
Gears of War is a completely different beast. That campaign was DESIGNED to have co-op, there is a difference. Those are deeper characters with a story and plenty of rich backgrounds. Much better and more fun to play as Dom than as "Player 2" or "Soldier 2", dontchya think?

Halo does it perfectly. I don't WANT to play a separate "experience" I want to play the campaign with my friends. That is simply what I want to do. Don't feed me BS about it "ruining the experience" because I DO NOT CARE. WHO CARES if there is some extra guy running around that disappears in the cutscenes. I fully understand that happens solely because I want to play with a friend.

Eugh, MW2's co-op 'feature' sucked massive testicles. I want a game I can play with someone sitting next to me that doesn't consist of a bunch of quickly conceived, poorly implemented 'missions'; is that too much to ask?

Treyarch even copies the responses of IW now? IW said the same thing about MW2's lack of co-op.

I was really hoping for co-op but without it I don't know what the point is to actually buying this one. World at War was COD 4 with WWII skins and this one will more than likely be the same using MW2 as it's base.

What is with these devs removing co-op from games in lieu of a story or "cinematic experience"? I had a great cinematic experience playing through Halo 3 with my pals. At the end, I was at the wheel of the Warthog and I literally felt like their lives depended on me! And when we made that final jump, the cheers into the mics marked one of the best gaming experiences of my life! Treyarch, I'm gonna shoot you straight: trash your story that's going to be pointless anyway and stick co-op back in or your're going to miss out on profit.

I never really played CoD:WaW's coop, mainly because I was busy with Nazi Zombies. Only reason I bought the game. As long as Black Ops has some sort of Zombie mode ('Nam Zams!) I will be happy. Oh, and Treyarch, if you're listening, release more Zombie maps for Black Ops in a SEPERATE map pack! I hated paying $10 for only one zombie map I would play.

So, imma take a guess at how this is going to go down. The game is going to be 8 hours long and incomplete, but will come with zero day DLC for the "complete" (bullshit) experience. Then every three months release some other DLC, which is not total bullshit because its not like its day zero and had content purposefully withheld from us to get out our every last dime despite the fact that I just bought an incomplete game for $60. Amidonrite?
