Well my problem is that I can not eat foods while playing games with a traditional controller. The Wii allows me to eat and play games lot easier at times. Natal will be even easier. It's totally reversed man.

How long is a session? For many taking an full hour to walk is unacceptable time consumption which could be used for "serious" gaming.

You can customize workouts for length and intensity. Typically 10-20 minutes. I used Wii Fit for awhile and you can actually get a decent workout out of it. It's good for squeezing in workouts when your pressed for time.

This stuff is about as 'cool' as those morning fitness exercise videos.

Read: not cool.

When natal gets these games they better not advertise it on the Spotlight channel, or I will hunt down the genius that put it there and make them pay.

do you really need a doctor to tell you this? I mean, really? This is targeted mostly for fat people no? So basically its

no body fatigue + eating = weight gain

eat healthy + exercise = you'll be healthy

eat whatever you want but less + more body movement = lose weight slower

btw..if youre fat and want to lose weight and dont want to run or dont have lifting equipment, just get a jumprope and eat less... seriously, do some research on it. So, get that and red dead lol

Yeah but how do you expect them to be able to jump high enough to actually get their feet off the ground (what with all that weight/gravity pulling them down)?

It's actually pretty tough if you do it the way you are supposed to rather then just "going through the motions" like people do even at the gym. You can custom build some workouts and make some fairly long. I like the cardio boxing stuff in the game. Remnds me a bit of the les mills body combat classes.

Whether it inspires people to buy or not shouldn't matter to joystiq as long as Activision pays for the add... I can live with it personally. Not that big a deal to me.

I do understand that Joystiq needs money to function, but I dislike full-page background ads.

@ Will:Do you really think that an annoying full page ad (from Activision of all people) would inspire ANYONE into purchasing said item? I certainly don't think so.

- Ad pops up for MW2. "OMG! I forgot to purchase this game! Thanks to this ad I will go out immediately and buy it! Thanks ad!"

All they have to do is make a game for this on the Natal and Big Brother can watch us do our mandated exercise, just like in 1984!

Been using it and yes it works. Beats going to the gym, having to wait for machines, getting hit by the kickboxer next to you at the class and a personal trainer who doesn't charge $100 a session. Yes that exercise band is a piece of crud but replaced it with an exercise band that works well.

Here's how I'm losing all the weight without losing out on game time:
Weight training 3 times a week, nutrition/portion change, and a reclining excercise bike for cardio 40-50 minutes each day while playing a frantic game like COD-MW2 online. You get used to the motion and often speed up a lot when things get intense.

It's working and fits my lifestyle so far.
