@ ytilanigiroon : no,it was "man-spider" that i was thinkin of. ( fr.harriso ) got that name right for me ..and as for Doppelganger,he's not spiderman or any variation of him..he was more of a demonic near-mindless duplicate of spiderman..so he doesnt really count as a "type" of spiderman.he is mostly put into the villian category.

Pretty much expecting 2099 Spiderman. In terms of a videogame they would have to get the most contrasting versions in order to make the worlds seem different

That's the one I was hoping for. I just went from interested to sold. It seems they would have to screw the game up pretty bad to mess up all this awesomeness.

I've gone from indifference to wanting to learn more. I was a big fan of the 2099 universe back in day, and the chance to run around as Miguel O'Hara is very welcome.

Joystiq,
Spiderman used cartridges he made to shoot webs. This changed in the movies.
When he found the venom symbiote, he was able to shoot webs from the top of his wrists without cartridge.
Maybe spidey 2099 is taking cues from venom?

Correct Answer: The fourth universe should totally be the Japanese Spider-man show from the 70's.

Anyone who hasn't seen Japanese Spider-Man, get over to the Marvel site right now. The show has absolutely nothing to do with Spider-Man other than the costume, and was literally the birth of the Giant Robot craze in Japan.

you mean spawn looks like any version of spider-man ever because (though he makes great toys) todd mcfarlane is not all that talented. just look at the cover to spider-man #1 vs. the cover to spawn #8.

To tell the truth, I'd be almost disappointed if they didn't use the 2099 setting as one of the dimensions :)
It looks pretty cool, though it never occurred to me (having read only a few of the early comics), that he'd appear so shiny.

1) Spider-Woman is a spider evolved into a spider/homosapien hybird, that was taken advantage of by Hydra and saved by Nick Fury.

2) As much as this game is going to be better than previous installments, its still going to fall flat as far as todays video game standards.

3) This is what needs to happen:
Get the GTA games... and put Spider-Man in it....Apply generously to Gamers.
