Most generic title ever?

So are a lot of good games. If you ask me, Call of Duty or Medal of Honor are generic as well. The title means nothing as long as the game is good, and I think this game is gonna do pretty well. Great graphics for a Arcade game, great features (customizable weapons? Yes please!), and a great dev. team behind the game? Sounds like they have a great chance at making this game good!

Yeah I know!!!!! I am sooooo sick of futuristic sci-fi Blade Runner inspired games that gives you a choice of "Over two trillion weapon and armor combinations," and has 12 maps for 15 dollars!!! Bahhh! Why don't they make more modern military shooters!? I mean come on, I need some more 15 dollar DLC w/ 5 maps!!!! Now that's thinking outside the box.

Oh yeah. . . /s

Wasn't there a game from EA years ago that was similar with the gun customization that never saw the light of day past an E3?

Why because there is an epidemic of great disc based single player shooters? To me the problem isn't the GAME per se, but the jacka$$ gamers who can't work well with others.

It's $15 at launch. I think I can suffer/overlook through some budget faults.

"Going further into the details, more issues show up too. ***Dedicated servers*** are an obviously thorny issue and Blacklight ***won’t be supporting them*** which can be reason enough to dissuade some people from playing (or at least to say as much). "

@ Faenix "you lost me with 'downloadable multiplayer shooter =/'"

Kinda sad the parameters with which you judge games. BF1943, even with the server problems it's had, is still a far cut above something like the mega-hyped and hyper-polished bags of dogshit that are some games coming out on disc these days.

You get a fully functional and fun-as-hell game for 15 bucks (again, using BF1943 as an example). But, I'm guessing you're one of the people making up an infinitesimal fraction of the sheep herd that was perfectly willing to shell out $15 for half-recycled and uninspired crap packs for a game simply because it comes on a disc.

I can't judge this game yet because I ain't played. What I've been following on it so far seems like it definitely has the chance to be an awesome game. If it does live up to the standards of what makes a good shooter, $15 will be a steal.

But by all means, you keep up the tradition of jerking off in long midnight-release wait lines full of prepubescent, angst-ridden acne farms to buy something that CliffyB and 402 have personally wiped their ass with.

--ADDENDUM: School's out. Kids are back online in droves. Many MP games are packed once again with screaming, singing, swearing lone wolves who think they're gangsta. Ergo... my tolerance for assanine behavior is about that of assanine comments.

@ onlymoderatelymad

You know the funny thing is I've always spelled it that way on purpose whenever I post in a forum. It's fitting, really, to not only label someone as asinine but also call them an ass at the same time. And you're the first one to actually notice this.

You get an e-cookie. Oh, and I approve of your approval.

I dunno... I just watched a dev diary that had plenty of gameplay footage, and I think it looks awesome. It's probably not the same trailer, but meh. I'm gonna link to it below

This game looks awesome. It's on my radar.

http://www.gametrailers.com/video/exclusive-world-blacklight-tango/100867

I also have to mention that it's friggin cool that you get not only 12 maps with this, ut the entire GAME for $15, whereas you have to buy MW2 and they charge $15 for just 5 MAPS... At the same time, after getting back into it, I'm sure my morals will cave and I'll buy the stupid map pack. But still! It's worth pointing out how skeezy Activision is.

the game trailer posted the other week on the PSN didn't look so hot (choppy framerate?), but I'm willing to at least wait until reviews come out, or a demo, before I pass any opinion on it.
