Let's not spoil anything. Instead, let's just say that Square Enix's CGI work for Deus Ex: Human Revolution is really paying off. You should watch the trailer above right now. And then watch it again.
Now that you've done that, we've got some actual news: It looks like Deus Ex: Human Revolution has been confirmed for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The game will be released in 2011, and is now available for pre-order from the usual suspects.

LOL.. love how they zoom out on the third eye.
Other than that, this game looks amazing and actually has a good story to back it up.

Anyone know how much of the old Ion Storm team is working for Eidos Montreal? I thought I heard that a good many of them do. If so, we are in for something truly special.

That trailer was so cool, "I speeled my drink."
Looking forward to this, despite my reservations.

So I'm thinking they're probably going to go for a bit of an ME/ME2 flavor - i.e. action oriented RPG - apparently for the console kids these days anything like the original DE would be too slow and boring.
Anyway, I just hope they lean closer to ME (inventory, but dear god make it manageable), bunch of skills to manage, customizations, as oppose to the "only RPG in name" ME2 :)
Of course if they wanted to make it perfect they should just take all the great RPG elements from the original, add some wicked smooth action gameplay, a dose of cover system, and the kind of cutscenes that rockstar makes and they've got gold.

I thought the news anchor was a little blah, but the rest of the voice acting seems solid so far, even though every man in the future seems to have a gravely voice.

Both the epicness and idea of augmenting soldiers in this trailer remind me of Metal Gear Solid 4

Man, that's some cheesy ass dialogue. But the trailer looks good, though I'd rather have some gameplay footage.

Not sure the narrator is Christan Bale, but the guy talking out the window in the big office sure sounds like Kiefer Sutherland to me.
Really nice trailer and I'm really quite a fan of the whole grimey cyber punk thing. If the game can keep at least a few aspects of the original then we might just have ourself a good game on the horizon.
I know you shouldn't get your hopes up on the back of nothing but CG trailers... but they did push all the right buttons.
(and yay! for the PC love)

"Remember that bitchin' trailer from a couple of weeks back?
Yeah, that was all in-game graphics."

God damn it's so nice seeing Squeenix using their CG for something non-Final Fantasy, and to such AMAZING effects. It's obvious the CGers are having a field day with this game.

pretty cool... but how many times can they rehash the same story premise?
and considering JC Denton is suppose to be the pinnacle of nanotech, shouldnt he be mroe badass than this guy? (This game is a prequel, right?)

Xenophobic? Really? Final Fantasy is not representative of Japan. The style was "too Final Fantasy" because it was made by the team who made the FMVs for - yes- the Final Fantasy games, and this is the first time they've done a game outside of that artistic framework. Final Fantasy has its own artistic tropes and stylings, many of which are not compatible with Deus Ex.

Hey guys, what happened the last time DX went multiplatform...?
Oh, right. Invisible War.
/sigh
I do not have hopes for this game at all, no matter how damn pretty the trailer is. Trailers always disappoint anyhow.
Goddamnit, Square Enix. You are literally re-ruining my childhood. Wasn't DXIW bad enough? (I realize that IW was purely Eidos' fault, yes.) (And yes, I am going to blame the publisher until I find out that it wasn't the publisher's choice, and then I am going to /ragequit Eidos forever.)

Hey, hey, hey.
The World Ends With You.
(But yeah, SquEnix has utterly mauled the FF franchise. 12 was meh, 13 was actively bad... I miss the PS1 generation of FF games, back when Nobuo Uematsu was still doing music for the games... you knew it was a good game if Uematsu was doing the music.)

With art, writing and cinematography like that this should really be a movie, as a game it could easily fall flat on it's face or totally fail to impress. But as a movie it could bring intelligent sci fi back to the mainstream and I'd love to see that more then I'd love this to be a good or even great game.

Mind blowing.. Holy shit. I think I need to check myself after that. The whole tone and feel of it is amazing. So very Blade Runner-ish yet gussied up to the max. That got me pumped. Before I was anticipating this game, now I'm stoked. Hope the gameplay and in-game visuals impart the same tone.

It's not made by Square Enix, thank god. They're just letting Eidos Montreal and Goldtooth Productions use and direct their cg suites and publishing the game.
Eidos Montreal is the developer. I would hate to see the writing quality of Final Fantasy ruin a series like Deus Ex.

Wary....
1) All cut-scenes, no game-play
2) Planned for consoles, not the PC
I don't want to spark that war, but I hope that they scale the interface smartly instead of dumbing down the game as a console FPS.
