I did find it interesting when the child was in front of the dad, and the on-screen shaded version of him still showed his arm in the correct spot.

Judging on the lady playing, and my wifes comments so far, MS has a new customer base.

Who the hell has living rooms a) as big b) as empty as anything seen in any Natal video thus far?

I'm curious to try this thing, but I smell failure, especially at $150.

Soo....it's....uhhmmmmmm...what? Color me uninterested in Natal. I had a feeling this is what we were in for. I guess I just got caught up in the classic Peter Molyneux hype machine. "It's going to revolutionize gaming!" Whatevs. The only way I see myself getting this is if it's bundled at a good price, and that's only if the 360 in there is a significantly newer and sexier model.

The last true public appearance of Natal was on Jimmy Fallon's show last year. We've neither seen nor heard anything from Kudo Tsunoda or even the great Peter Molyneux in about the same time. Then we hear that Microsoft has hired a circus act to promote their new technology.

It's all starting to make sense now.

Just a Reminder to everyone, but These are the Tech Demo Games... Not the actual games that will come out of it...

Although they could come out as Arcade games.

I personally see Games like this good for the Arcade Games, and Indie Games catalog in the marketplace... the actual full games would be (hopefully) more deserving of the $40-$60 Price range, also Natal Could also be used in Moderation with the Controller allowing you to use the controller, and do "Some" stuff with Natal

If Microsoft is developing them internally, then they can't be released as indie games, though I'm sure a ton of XBLA games will support this down the road.

I don't think these are just tech demos... I'd wager those games they were playing will be part of the mini game collection the unit ships with.

If the price rumors are true though, do we really need to pay 150+ for something that has use "some of the time?"

Looks like my 3 year old nephew would have a blast with this, although I'd rather just use a controller of some sort.

@ Stranger By indie games I meant if they added it for the Indie game Developers... not Microsoft :P... The day Microsoft uses Indie Games to release their Arcade games in is the day Cows will fly... Well Except for Kodu
Also I hope these games come with it, as they look fun; especially for tech demo's... it would be great as a mini game collection, like the 3 free things that came with the Vision camera (3months of gold, Totem ball, and Uno) But I guess I could live with an 500-800mp Mini game Collection

@Nytharas they are rumors based on Annalists... but how often are they right anyways?, I personally expect Microsoft to take a hit on the Hardware in hopes they can make it back on software.. like they did for XBox1, both XBox 360... Price range I'm expecting is $80-$100, anyways it looks like something that could be really interesting for those with little children... and its a bonus if devs use it to supplement the controller :)

I would like to believe they would take a price hit, I really would. Microsoft isn't exactly known for cheap accessories though.

Wifi adaptor = $100 (depending on area, and if you search around).

360 brand flash drive = $69.99 - $79.99

360 120gb HDD = $99.99 - $129.99

I really think my nephew would enjoy Natal like I said, and I was thinking about getting it for Christmas for him. If the accessory price trend continues, and it is over $100.... I will not be buying it for him.

My question is, how will you be able to tell if someone is actually having a photosensitive seizure if they are playing a Natal game, or if they're just really into it?

Anyone else notice that sensor bar was white? Ugh... so glad I just upgraded to a black 360.If the Wii was the 'invention of flight' and this is the 'jet engine' equivalent, I think I'll be comfortable keeping my feet on the ground, thanks.

Might be cool for families with small kids I suppose- though were I the parent of small kids they'd never be allowed to touch my game consoles. Except for the Wii cause, well, somebody oughta get some use out of it

I love it when things go exactly as I expected and this didn't fail to disappoint.

A bunch of idiots who wouldn't give a real game a chance flailing around like their lives depend on it. To what purpose? To ride a virtual inflatable raft.

I was going to begin with a little disclaimer stating that I know it's not going to be marketed towards myself and my ilk, but really? Really, Microsoft?? I don't care if their intent is to market this to every gamer on the planet. That looked like something I would NEVER want to participate in.

"Hey, wanna hop on the ol' natal to sail down a f*cking river with no discernible goal in mind??? No objective?"

"WHY YES! YES I DO!"

I'll stick w/ my controller.

Why is everyone who says this looks fun getting thumbs down? Is this news post so ridden of fanboys? I don't care what I see in this video. If I find Natal to be entertaining I'm getting one. If not - I'm not. Until then, to me this is just another funny video on the internet and nothing more.

I've made some "adjustments" to the video. And voila: You look good when playing Project Natal.

I used to think having an XBOX360 was a kind of status booster. Judging from this video, Natal will make me look like a flailing idiot. Why would anyone want this? Why would Microsoft/Xbox sink so much money into it? Proof of concept, sure! But not an expensive peripheral that taints what may be otherwise excellent games (like Fable III) and creates a whole host of its own games that look like utter drivel. Just proving the concept isn't enough. Develop this into something better.

Of course, I don't HAVE to buy it. And so I won't. I just feel like this cheapens the platform in some way. I'm not sure how to explain it.
