With all the crazy releases lately this one passed under my radar. Need to pick it up sometime now.

Damn. It seems like you pick up every game that comes out, lucky bastard. Do you actually beat them all?

The story/campaign at least. Some games I don't go for 1000/1000 unless I really enjoy it. Such as red dead, final fantasy, and such.

That's cool. I need to scrap up some money for Red Dead. I'm so broke :(

You do. It is one of the best games I have played lately. Completely immersible.

Damnit, it's just Flushing, NY, not Flushing Meadows. Being from Flushing, I'm very tempted to get this (since it's always overshadowed by Manhattan), but it's not worth getting an entire game for it.

Apparently to everyone outside of NYC it's Flushing Meadows. I'm guessing people just put Fresh Meadows and Flushing into one name for some odd reason. I never understood why but I use to live in Fresh Meadows and I would get confused when I hear someone on TV or the web say Flushing Meadows NY.

Last time I checked...that's Flushing Meadows...I know, I've only been there 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times.

No, it's Flushing Meadows Corona Park, but the city is Flushing, NOT Flushing Meadows. There's Flushing and there's Fresh Meadows.

Didn't they just release this for Skate 2 not too long ago?

Oh my bad, that one was based on the 2009 Maloof Money Cup.
They should have made the DLC for skate 2 compatible with skate 3.

2009 is already in Skate 3. The layout is exactly the same for the street part. They've added some new boxes and rails to fill in the space around the mega ramp and vert pipe though.

3 is much less frustrating than 2 could be. You only need to do specifics to Kill challenges, beating/owning a goal only requires any move from that category.

The difficulty levels have no bearing on goals or achievements/trophies. You can knock it down to finish something that's giving you troubles with no penalty. (difficulty affects the physics)

Maybe it's due to the extensive advertisement on the front page. They can't really knock on it, but also giving positive reviews could come across as biased.

wouldnt the sponsorship be Carls Jr, since they sponsor the cup and a bunch of the skaters in the game? lol They should have Happy Star as DLC

i' was a die hard Tony Hawk fan since THPS2 through American Wasteland. Skate 3 is the first Skate game i have played and it is a huge breath of fresh air. i absolutely love it. even though i kept instinctively pressing Y to grind the first hour i played it. if you play Skate 3 you know that Y accomplishes nothing close to my desired result.

Waiting for 4 in a few months. Hopefully they'll have added the rest of Mullen's bag of tricks. You know: Impossible, front foot impossible, casper slide's, primo, flat ground stuff..

Hey Ben,

We reported on the release date already, and we don't typically review map pack DLC. It has nothing to do with site advertisements, simply because the editorial team has nothing to do with it either. :)
