ESRB rates Sonic Adventure (and DX) for Xbox 360, PS3

Dreamcast classic Sonic Adventure and its "director's cut" edition, Sonic Adventure DX, have been rated for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 by the ESRB. Sonic Adventure was recently classified by the Korean ratings board, and briefly appeared in January in tandem with an "extend package," purportedly seen on the Xbox marketplace.

Sonic's companion on the great Sega ratings board journey, Crazy Taxi, has apparently not yet been re-classified for current consoles by the ESRB. We've followed up with Sega for details on both titles, but with E3 next week, the publisher likely wants it to be a "reveal" for the show. Start practicing your "we had no idea" face for the surprise next week.

You could always play Jet Set Radio Future on the 360, which is better than Jet Grind Radio.

The last best Sonic I played was Sonic & Knuckles. I played Adventure on the Gamecube years ago and honestly couldn't tell if I was having fun or not. I may have to try it again.

Am I the only one that's much more interested in Crazy Taxi?

I absolutely hate Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2, and Crazy Taxi and Crazy Taxi 2 are still some of my favourite Dreamcast games. So no, I'm looking forward to getting into Crazy Taxi again, especially if it has some inventive leaderboards.

I will say one thing: Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 are WAY better than the "Sonic the Hedgehog" games on the PS3 & 360. I'm looking forward to Sonic Adventure 2, if they release it.

They need to be focused on a proper Skies of Arcadia sequel. Just cut down on the random battles please!

Why does Sega just abandon franchises that aren't Sonic, Virtua Fighting or Virtual On?

I don't think anyone remembers Dragoon Orta, and Valkyria and Yakuza don't do well outside of Japan.

I'll just rephrase by saying that Sega has not had an international hit since Dreamcast. Best of luck to them, though. I just want a new Space Channel 5.

I wonder how much they would cost? $14.99? I would gladly but Sonic Adventure again but it only its sequel showed up.

Wait...why do they put up Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure DX? What was the difference besides the addition of those Game Gear games?

They made the characters look out of place by re-designing the characters and made the game more choppy by forcing it to 60 frames per second. They also made the frame rate slower for the cut scenes.

I hope they follow up with SA2B later.

Yes!!! Now bring over Jet Grind Radio and SA2 to the PS3 and I can get rid of my Dreamcast.

Bring over Tales of Symphonia (if Sega is moving GC games over I bet Namco could move ToS) and Skies of Arcadia Legends and I will sell my GameCube too!

Shoot, if Sega and others were smart they would be trying to get any and all of their old previous generation titles over to the PSN and XBLA as soon as possible.

they should just port SA and SA2 into a disc for 20-30 bucks and call it a day.
