Excited! While Fear isn't the best series, it delivers with solid gameplay and some scary moments.

i dunno, i thought the first one was pretty freaky, in addition to jumpy. the part with the blood on the ceiling, and (i think it was a different part, it's been a while) bloody footsteps slowly walking towards you. ok lol i didn't actually play it, i watched a friend play.

Yeah Fear brought some freaky moments. I don't think I was ever so paranoid since the Resident Evil 1 days until Fear.

They're not really whoring out Alma like they used to. I never got around to picking up the 2nd one. Maybe I'll find one cheap this weekend.

You say that like they were about fear before. Fear 1 had some 'surprise' moments, but I never saw it as a horror game. It's a shooter with horror themes if anything. I don't know about you but it was never scary. Especially once you realize every time alma jumps out it doesn't even hurt you. I love the first two games, but why people ever thought of them as scary I just don't understand.

No, that's kind of what I meant, not scary, but jumpy. Like The first The Suffering game, which is also one of my favourites.
I like the dark atmosphere... Especially in the first Condemned. Is it also not surprising that Seven is one of my favourite films? Maybe I just like gritty serial killers...
