The episodic adventure aces at Telltale Games have set sail from Monkey Island and are soon to arrive at Jurassic Park, Game Informer reports. According to the magazine, Telltale has struck a deal with NBC Universal to develop games based on the media giant's properties, with the Michael Crichton created "dinosaurs in modern day" franchise being the first to get the interactive treatment.
The Jurassic Park games will make up one "season," which has -- as GI points out -- historically meant as many as six monthly "episodes" where series such as Sam & Max, Wallace & Gromit and Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People were concerned. No word on a platform or platforms, but it has been confirmed that what Telltale boss Dan Connors calls "the ultimate cinematic adventure" will be uncaged before the year is out.

I'm f*cked...
Jurassic Park might still be my all-time favorite movie (Gladiator and Kill Bill Vol 1 are challengers) and I absolutely loved playing the SNES game back in the day!
I WILL buy the first one when it's released and, if it proves to be good, continue from there.
I'm quite excited about this. My wife isn't when the monetary aspect comes into the picture but she'll get over it or I'll let her buy some pants.. (So I can take them off.. HAH!)

You know what.. As soon as game three of the NBA finals is done I'm going to throw in the Jurassic Park DVD. I just have to!
I really hope that this game gets good treatment and is more old school. I even have a 360 now so if it hits XBLA I can get it. Woot!

I agree, so much potential for awesome dinosaur games. Can you imagine a new Dino Crisis on the RE5 engine, the big scale boss battles? Would be epic.

This year, eh? Awesome. Hopefully that means Jurassic Park Blu-ray will be right around the corner as well.

I can't help but cheer for this, if only because it will give Jeff Gone Game Goldblum more work.

I really hope they overhaul the telltale engine for this, right now the engine can hardly handle one scene, Jurassic Park is known for its chase scenes (running from raptors, T-rex, the hunting trails, and that's just some the first two movies.)
...well, now that I think about it i guess the first season of sam and max had those weird chase scenes with the repeating cityscapes...idk how that would work for dinos though.

Telltale are a great developer, and one of the few that have managed to do episodic gaming right.
They done a great job with Monkey Island, it'll be interesting to see how they handle a less comedic series.

From what I hear they do amazing jobs with their CSI games. S&M and ToTMI are all I bought so far.

My friends had a dino themed BBQ just this weekend. I'd like to think that somehow, we willed this into existence.

An HD remake of Trespasser would be awesome. Regardless, this is good news for reviving old franchises.
I'd like "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" next, please.

I just hope that it isn't based off of the movie because, if you look at the movie and the book side-by-side you'd realize that the movie was a terrible interpretation of the book. The book had so much more action and detail that it would be a much better game if all they were going off was the movie.

*Edit* It wouldn't be a very good game if all they were going off was the movie.
