Lego and Warner Bros. partner on Lego Universe distribution
17
In an attempt to further expand its digital Lego empire, Warner Bros. has partnered with the iconic brick manufacturer and NetDevil to act as the retail distributor for their upcoming family-friendly MMO, Lego Universe. According to the press release announcing the partnership, Warner Bros. will be responsible for distributing the game "outside of LEGO channels." We assume they're talking about Lego Stores, and Legoland, and the underground Lego black market which operates in the shady corners of most metropolitan cities.

You know, for all the posts about this game I see all over the Internet, nobody ever seems to discuss what it actually is, how it will play, what its about etc...
And yet most people seem totally enthralled by the mere existence of it. I'm baffled!
I know its an MMO, but aside from that... anybody have any solid details?

Take your pick? lol

There arent any revies, but the only games anybody will recognise on that list are the recent Batman, Indiana Jones and Harry Potter ones. Doesnt mean we should all immediately love any game involving Lego blocks!
Especially since the developers of this one are known only for 3 games in the past 9 years, namely: Warmonger: Operation Downtown Destruction. Auto Assault and Jumpgate.

I would, but I'm still under the NDA. But honestly? Not enthralled anymore. Not even close. I just let my little brother beta test for me now.

there are no reviews because its still in BETA and people testing it are not allowed to talk about it or give details, specifically, as to what the game is about. when beta testing is over, or nearing the end, reviews will start to come out.
Also there is a trailer out for the game that gives you a general idea of what the main concept/focus of the game will be about - http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/09/lego-universe-trailer-looks-unexpectedly-thrilling/
