Maybe you were sitting around today, contemplating Gears of War 3, expecting some new screenshots to pore over -- if so, we'd say Miss Cleo has got some competition. Epic Games was kind enough to send us some weapon renders, concept art and even some new in-game shots.

Feel free to take a spell in our gallery below and check out the new screens. We've got big dudes, bigger guns and even bigger mechs. What more could you want?

Gears of War 3 - Now in Color!

I recently went back and played gears 1 story over again . . . i must say that i like the almost black and white color palette the first game had more then any other. Why it was picked on for its color scheme is beyond me, but the almost horror feel of the first game was truly lost in the second. (minus the part where your carrying the box with one hand in the building )

The way 3 is looking a dont expect any horror elements . .

I had both Gears set to Lucid ( I'm sure it boosted the claret)

Props to them for not over-sexualizing Anya. While every game feels the need to put the heroine into a two-piece because they're convinced this sells more copies, Epic designed a female character that's dressed to kick your tail, not be a skank.

Kudos, Epic.

Classic bayonet seems like a bit of a step backwards, though I'm sure the stabbin' takes less time than sawing a locust in half. I would have preferred to see a laser or, dare i say, lightsaber attachment.

I think it's part of the story. supply's are becoming scarce so they have to use old technology from the pendulum wars.

You could substitute screenshots from either of the two previous games, and nobody would even know. I'd have preferred a new IP - GoW is already stale.

GoW is stale because the input lag is horrendous for both games. If by some miracle they give us dedicated servers it's like a whole new game on it's own.

God of war is stale, glad there done with that series. Now Gear of War on the other hand is just now reaching its prime . . .

Maybe you suck at Gears MP.. I know I do, so I usually play Horde.. never had input lag

It's to easy on Epic to say we simply suck at Gears MP because I know if there were dedicated servers I, as well as many other people would so much better. At the same time it would increase the difficulty curve and make it a more modest incline from novice to pro.

The other 2 are right definitely resembles ludacris..

The concept art is absolutely amazing though, the level of detail in some of those drawings is just amazing.

this looks exactly like Gears 2... im a bit disappointed. i thought they upped they unreal engine for this game.... but i notice no difference.

oh well, gotta complete my trilogy.. so im still looking forward to this.
