That's funny, Kojima himself said the digital version would be cheaper than retail.

Actually if you own a PSP Go, it's completely devoid of humor, only tears.

$40 for a digital version of a PSP game is ridiculous.

Although the game itself is absolutely worth purchase, even if Sony's pricing policies are ridiculous.

That has more to do with HMV's pricing being STUPID than anything else. Future Shop, Walmart have it for $39.99.

I wanna play Joe Danger but ive been burned before buying games without demos (dumb ass punisher game). I hope there will be a demo soon.

There is gonna be so much to next week. I'm very anxious for next week.

No Joe Danger demo, no buy. Sorry, and it's one of my most anticipated too. Hope Sony addresses their PSN demo policy at E3 with their PSN/Store/XMB changes.

Demo's are nice, but I don't think they need to be mandatory. Especially considering most of these titles are by small time devs... kind of a lot to ask of them, I think

you do know how small the dev team for Joe Danger is right? they wanted to push this game out as soon as possible, a demo would have delayed it further.

It really isn't though. A demo for a digitally distributed game doesn't have to be any more complicated than downloading the 'full version' with a limit in place to stop where or when you play, then being able to 'unlock' the full game at your leisure.

Are the demos on PSN a separate download? On XBLA I know they're trial modes, which are incredibly easy to make.

@ Solace - Again, what I just said, but also you guys are under the impression that a demo has to be cut specifically for demo purposes. It doesn't. Sony can rectify this by making the PS Store easier to access while in game (so you can unlock the full version).

Again, download the full game with a limit, purchase it with an unlock code. Couldn't possibly be simpler, especially for small devs.

alot of games also have that same feature on the PSN but I'm just restating what the one of the devs from Hello Games said on the PS Blog. They are working on a demo though.

@ Acosta - Most are. A few are done by downloading the full game. Most Capcom games with demos are full versions, Zen Pinball / Planet Minigolf, and WipEout HD are the only ones I know of.

Demo modes aren't as easy as you seem to think they are... They require completely separate builds with features enabled/disabled that leads to an entirely separate QA cycle... hell, one seemingly innocuous item (such as a texture change) could cause dozens of bugs...

That's how Matt Hazard's game worked. You downloaded the demo then you bought the license code to unlock the game.

@ Solace - Awesome news. It really is. But still, if Sony addressed this themselves, developers wouldn't have to labour over a demo, it would just be second nature to developing on PSN. Developers wouldn't have to wait a week or longer to get my money either.

@ Xoonka - Again, you're wrong. See Xbox LIVE Arcade. A Demo does NOT have to be a separate build, all it requires is small bit of code to determine whether or not you own the full game, and a few assets to tell you that your demo is over and to continue you'll need to buy the full version.

Easy as pie.

1) Seperate build demos are difficult, yes.
2) Restricted demos are not.

All in all, this game looks like Excite Bike meets Trials. It will definitely be purchased in the near future.

Really now, every single one of my comments is downvoted? I'll give you the first one, those were the brash words of disappointment . . . but the rest is nothing but the truth.

Whatever though.

Wish it was a PS3 game :x I have fond memories of playing MGS3 on my PS2.

A new Metal Gear in a jungle setting and in the 80's, much like MGS3, with MGS4's camouflage system and controls would make me so happy..

According to /cough/ ign, Joe Danger is coming to Xbox 360 (date still TBA). Does anyone know any more details on when it is supposed to come to XBLA?
