My favorite is when they get movie trailers taken down. Why in the hell wouldn't you want people to be watching ads for your upcoming films?

Well yes. There was a lot more user submitted content from movies to shows. Youtube is a lot more censored because corporations control the content more that the user. They pretty much took the "you" out of youtube. There was a point during the case that users couldn't have a snippet of a song if it was copyrighted or the material could be taken down at anytime.

Fast-Foward to today and something as simple as Lebron James getting dunked on, to Top 10 countdown for your favorite show or even K.O moment from a PPV Event can be taken down from Youtube at anytime. Family guy use to have a top 10 for ever character on Youtube before the trial now you only see the few clips that got uploaded after the trial or skated by somehow since they don't have new content.

Watching a K.O montage from UFC PPV events is what got me into UFC before the trial and seeing a random Episode of Venture Bros led to me becoming a fan and buying the boxset.

I know where the companies are coming from where they want their shows displayed where they want them to be displayed but, Youtube was the onestop shop for everything a few years ago. Instead of embracing the free advertising and broadcast it displayed, they fought it.

Network execs and others will look back at this as complete stupidity on their part and Hulu will never be what Youtube was 3-4 years ago...

I put up a video of my rabbit running around the garden with some music from The Lord of the Rings (the one when you see the orcs in the pit making weapons and stuff, duh-duh-duuuuhhhh... Dun-dun-dun.)
Anyway, that video got taken down because of a copyright claim. Come on! Don't be ridiculous.

Nothing says "I'm trying too hard to look like I know what I'm doing" than a Gibson guitar.

Personally I don't own a Gibson, apparently the Les Paul has a common fault where the neck snaps below the headstock

I'm into BC Rich & Jackson (the latter are part of Fender in some way).. so a 'V' (King V or Jr V) would be nice..

I think it would be good to get a choice of designs this time around, being in the UK, it's either the RB1 Strat or the Beatles guitars, which are a bit too 60's for me to be playing At The Gates or whatever

I kinda thought this had been quietly sorted out a while ago when I saw licensed digital Gibson instruments in Beatles Rock Band. I guess they managed to swing that while still in dispute over this silly patent. Maybe this settlement keeps both parties happy so that Gibson gear can appear in future games. It'd be cool as hell to have both Fender and Gibson axes to choose from.
