Andriasang reports that Square Enix has pulled back the curtain obscuring the identity of its next project: a 2D action game called Moon Diver, coming this year to the Japanese Xbox Live Arcade. The title, which will be developed by Lost Odyssey and Ninety-Nine Nights 2 creator feelplus, pits four-player teams of ninjas -- presumably moon ninjas, which we all know to be the coolest type of ninjas -- against waves of monsters in an attempt to protect a post-apocalyptic Earth.
We still have so many questions: Is it coming to America? Can we see some screenshots? Are we expected to dive into or off of the moon? We suppose our curiosity will have to be sated by these slim, slim details for now. We'll try pestering Square Enix for answers to these pressing questions at E3.

You and a few other unlucky individuals.
A great story (save for the cliche amnesia crap), a great cast of characters that were adults and not emo scene boys and girls (Jansen, Seth and Kaim), beautiful written dream sequences, and a good challenging combat system with great battles. And damn, the music. Oh, and LO has towns and beautiful environments. FFXIII should learn a thing or two from this gem.

Funny thing is, Jansen was really annoying to begin with. Then he suddenly became a whole lot funnier.
Loved the game. After Tolten's skills came in, I thought it couldn't get any better - You should've seen my face when I saw Sed's skill sheet.

Then maybe I didn't give the game enough chance. I didn't finish it. But as you were saying, the visuals were amazing and the soundtrack fantastic, but the gameplay brought it WAY down for me, in fact I hated it to where it ruined the whole experience, which is a pity since everything else about the game was great.
I doubt anyone's reading this thread anymore, but I still wanted to put that out there.

This is fine and all. An XBLA game... cool. The Ninety-Nine Nights 2 demo was a bit of fun and looked nice.
However, let's stop this and just get on with Lost Odyssey 2, k? Lost Odyssey boned FFXIII and all the other JRPG trash that has spewed out of the butthole of mediocrity this generation.

Feelplus was in charge of the cinematics for Lost Odyssey and they're still great today. I am really excited for this game. Feel plus has co-developed a PS360 title since Lost Odyssey and I'm happy to see them back in the game.
