Also, I'll be the first to admit the system is broken but it's only a fun thing to do. It's not real Bingo. Basically, you should SHUT UP. (kidding)

I dunno. Considering they lowered the price to $99, and it's still selling, they might not want to. Not to mention they need to have a bigger backlog or at least promise something to allow for PS2 games on PS3 that isn't just "wait for you game to be on demand." It's such a huge catalog of games to just throw by the wayside. They could make a killing if they boosted it on the PSN.

If they're officially closing the production of PS2s then I am going to get one asap. They stopped selling the PS2 at the game stores around here some time ago, and I want a second PS2 just in case the tired old PS2 phat dies on me some day.
Have to do this before it's too late.

These are all either super-safe predictions (more 3D talk? more LBP2 details?those are guaranteed at this point) or standard rumors.

Well even for "standard rumors", some are pretty far-fetched. PS2 titles on PSN? I'd love for that to happen, but I simply don't see it happening anytime soon. Even if it does, it'll probably be extremely limited to only a handful of first party titles. I expect we'll see as many PS2 games as we see PS1 games, or maybe even less.

Personally, I'd rather them go the HD route releasing them two games to a disc.

no. we better get the next Jak and Daxter game on the PS3 made by naughty dog.....

i've been waiting for the sequel ever since jak 3 and im not gonna get the one on psp anytime soon (i'd like to but i dont got time/money to buy oldish games - gotta keep movin forward)....

hopefully it'll follow jak going to do all the stuff he was to do as Mar in the past....
if i had a ps2 i'd buy jak 3 again.... sony needs to get rid of the ps2 and put back ps2 support on the ps3 - i dont wanna buy downloaded versions of my fave games that'll take 20 yrs to download on my slow-ass internet connection when i'd rather hav a physical copy

btw im not tryin to diss sly cooper or anything - the little bit that i ever got to play was really really really good i was just the type of person who got into the jak and daxter series instead of sly cooper and ratchet and clank - i miss ps2 games...

I mean, if he pulls it off, that would be fantastic. I love me some Kevin Butler, but I could see it degrading quickly.

I meant that KB could be the guy presenting Tretton and Kaz and the other performers. Or maybe compete with Tretton :)

"Do you think he could stay in character that long though?"
Maybe, maybe not. All depends how much he would actually have to perform. Also there is no telling how well he would actually perform in front of live audience.

1. I would expect Sony to name drop Bungie, if not go overboard with it lol.
2. Sly would be cool, I've been expecting it to come as a Multi-platform title though.
3. Jaffe has teased his title so much, I've lost interest.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Sly is owned by Sony, much like the Insomniac situation where Resistance and Ratchet are owned by Sony.

How could you lose interest on something that hasn't been announced? I'm sorry, but that's one of the dumbest things i've heard. Also, he hasn't so much as teased it as he has shot down rumors and telling how development is coming along.

I would really love to see PS3 remakes of the Team ICo collection. I didn't get to enjoy either of those games, and while I can find Shadow for pretty cheap, can't seem to find ICO and was waiting on shadow just in case something like this would happen. It's a great way to give access to great games that gamers might have missed.
Also, all these bingo cards should have one square for "super secret megaton announcement" as those are what really make E3 exciting. In this case, I'll just say it: super secret megaton announcement is FF7 remake! I know not everyone is down for this, but that was the game that really got me into gaming, and it will always hold a special place in my heart, even if it is only wishful thinking.

At this rate I don't think we'll see a proper FF7 remake until the PS4.

Hell, I'll bet we'll sooner see one on the Nintendo 3DS or the PSP2 whenever they release.

yeah, i know it probably won't happen, but you gotta admit, it would move units like hotcakes.
i still like my super secret megaton announcement square. it could take the place of "nonsquares". as in, nonannouncements, such as "no psp2 announcement" square. i think the whole point of these bingo cards is to rev up excitment for what could happen. thus, saying that something won't be announced kind of defeats that goal, and in this day and age of internet where there are so few suprises, a secret megaton announcement square is more in keeping with what makes e3 something to look forward to for gamers. who's coming with me?

The square CEO is 100% against a ff7 remake, he came up with some ridiculous lie saying it would take 10x longer to develop than FF13, so 40 years. You dont say stupid shit like that unless you REALLY dont want to do something.

Theres never going to be a ff7 remake as long as hes running things, well maybe a DS remake.

Bombshell: The Last Guardian multiplayer demoed (featuring co-op and competitive modes).
Sly Cooper 4 revealed... to be a smaller/shorter downloadable PSN game.
PS2 titles on PSN... for $25-$30 each.
GT5 dated... for February 2011.
A metric ton of PS2 games get HD treatment, but each set costs $60 (so each game costs roughly $30, the same price as their regular PSN counter parts). Games aren't paired by brand/title or genre but are instead randomly paired together (Twisted Metal + Jak II)

I'd go on, but I got distracted looking up the history of various Sony-owned studios on Wikipedia.

@Eh and anyone else mad at what square said

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/columns/experienced-points/7652-Experienced-Points-The-Final-Fantasy-VII-Remake-is-a-Fantasy

read through that. it actually does make sense that remaking FFVII would take a hell of a lot of time and money. the 40 years thing is obviously an exaggeration but still.

I've been playing Sly 2 the last few days. As much as I would LOVE a Sly 4, the fact that Sucker Punch is working on Infamous 2 shoots that down for now.

Unless Ready at Dawn does a half-assed kind like they normally do.
