If you haven't tried Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers yet, pick it up. Absolute steal at that price.

I tried it, and I just couldn't get into it. It's really not for everyone. I'd recommend Panzer Generals over it if you're looking for a great strategic board/card type game, definitely one of the most overlooked titles of last year. It's not for everyone either, but IMO has a lot more going for it to capture your interest.

I'd highly recommend Banjo Tooie, Braid, and Shadow Complex if you haven't played any of them before.

The only Metroid title I've actually liked was the first Metroid Prime and I still really enjoyed Shadow Complex. Very well-made game, great deal for the price.

Banjo Tooie is amazing platforming, back from when Rare actually made good games.

And Braid is just unlike anything else, definitely worth the small price.

@Crusty Magic

I did actually pick up this game a while ago, with a certain degree of glee I might add. But I ended up pretty disappointed, only by the omission of custom decks into the game. With that one feature, the game would be perfect, and the only one I play.

Quick question --
I don't own a 360, I own a PS3 and a Wii, but my friend brings his Xbox over from time to time. Now, I know I can I sign in with my LIVE account on his console, purchase the games, download and play them on my friend's console. My question is, if and when I buy a 360 console, can I re-download the games to my new console? How does this work??!

Thanks in advance.

Yes. As long as you purchase the games under YOUR gamertag, the licenses will stay under YOUR gamertag.

So for example when I got my first RRoD and bought a new console, all I had to do is recover my gamertag on the new console and re-download the games I had purchased before without having to pay extra.

Yes,you just have to transfer your gamertag to that console when you buy it.

Or always be online.

I guess I forgot to mention I have a PC gaming rig, (and a NDS, and 2 PSPs), and the Xbox 360 has become a lot more reliable in recent model versions. And thanks for not answering my question with fanboy spam.

HEY IMPORTANT: I could be wrong about this, so research and such... but:

Buying with your GT will only get the licenses on your GT. I don't think they can be transferred to the xbox itself. Meaning that you won't be able to play the game offline. Double check this, but I am pretty sure this is how it works. I've put my hard drive on other peoples' offline xboxes only to be locked out of my games.

I'm pretty sure.

You can login to your XBL account on xbox.com and make purchases without the need to be at a 360, then they get placed into your download queue when you login to a 360.

And, yes, the licenses are tied to your XBL account, so they can be redownloaded onto any 360 you login to (but unless the XBL signed into on the system doesn't actually own the games, they can't play the already downloaded copies).

@Yavar Bombos
Just registered to say this, let me explain how licenses work:
If you buy something on Xbox Live it associates itself to both the console and the gamertag you used to purchase it. If you recover your gamertag or put your hard drive or memory unit in another console you will be able to use whatever you bought, but only if you are logged on Xbox Live. If you want to be able to use whatever you bought on another console you must transfer your licenses to the new console, but keep in mind that the console that originally downloaded the content will have to be connected to Xbox Live with your account to use that content. Just google Xbox 360 transfer license, the first result will have more information on this. I also had to redownload every XBLA game I had (since I replaced my console due to RROD and bought a new one), but if you download everything after transferring the licenses you shouldn't have any problem.

Those are both excellent games. One classic and one of the best new downloadable games this generation!

$30 well spent, I say. But, of course, this deal is even sweeter!

Argh, I already got Shadow Complex, 'Splosion Man & Trials HD, got Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 on PS3 during that sale in April, and I refuse to touch TMNT Turtles in Time HD.

Castle Crashers, Magic The Gathering, Vandal Hearts & Zombie Apocalypse look like deals after that.

I bought an account on ebay that had them on it, then I recovered it on to my xbox and download with that account and then switch back to my other gamertag and play them. I was sceptical at first but it works great. Just make sure you change the password after they send you the account so they can't recover it back.
