If you buy Shadow Complex you give money to Orson Scott Card, which is a bad thing.

"Card described homosexuality as an acquired characteristic linked to abuse or molestation in childhood. He has called same-sex marriage a "potentially devastating social experiment"."

Really sucks for you guys, it was a great game.
PS I didn't know when I bought it.

Ha -- this was pretty much my thought, too. Some great games here, but if you don't own them already, why the hell are you reading a video game website?

Just as I was contemplating getting Portal: Still Alive. Got it free for PC, and the Xbox version has different achievements, so I figured to give Valve my monies for a copy on a system I don't have/have access to. FOR THE E-PEEN!

The only thing I regret about MvC2 is that I should have gotten it on PSN. I normally favor the XBox360 controller, but it's trash for this game.

And Shadow Complex was absolutely fantastic.

You must be spending your other $30 increments on pretty amazing stuff if this is the worst.

MS really should allow for gifting of games like Steam does. At these prices, I'd gladly buy some co-op partners off my friends list on a couple of these...

Haha, I already own all the games on that list that I intended to buy, and I got them on previous sales - so this "sale" is completely useless to me.

Also, can someone explain why Braid is "on sale" at 800 points when it's already an "Arcade Hit' for the same price? Still too much if you ask me and I won't be purchasing it. (I just double checked on Xbox Live and it is still listed as an Arcade Hit for 800 points.)

Also, 33% off is not much of a deal, they should drop the prices 50% or don't bother. And where's the DLC love? Why not drop the COD maps 50% so us smarter consumers who've choosen to wait can finally purchase them. I'm not lining Activision's pockets anymore than they need, so I will not purchase them at the current 1200 point price, I'll do it at a 50% price drop.

Shadow Complex needs to come out on Steam or something. That's the ONLY game that I miss from not having a 360 anymore. Definitely a great game, but not worth buying a whole new 360 just for it though.

I wouldn't take anything WINterfang says negatively about a game seriously. His most anticipated game is Sonic Colours after all.

At these prices, I can finally pick up so many arcade games I've been eyeing for ages.
MvC2, Alien Hominid, Zombie Apoc, and probably Bionic Commando.

I'm certainly not one to support Card's views, but I'm pretty sure that it's Chair (the developer) who actually owns the rights to the Empire universe, and they contracted Card to write tie in novels. So by buying the game, you're really supporting Chair.

This takes the question down to: Do you want to support someone who does business with Card? In which case, the list would also include Tor Books (one of the major Sci-Fi and Fantasy book publishers), and LucasArts, as Card had a hand in writing parts of a couple of their adventure games.

The insult swordfighting in Monkey Island 1 was all Card, for instance. That was written before he "came out" as a loony.

What it really boils down to is are you willing to support the art of someone who's views do not jive with your own?
Many great artists, authors, directors, etc throughout history have held views far more radical than Card's. But most people don't boycott their products, because their creations often have nothing to do with said views.

Has anyone tried Vandal Hearts? I tried the demo and it seemed pretty decent but I wasn't ready to drop $15 on it.

With these deals I'm going to pick up Keflings, SOTN and Banjo but I'm not sure if Vandal Hearts is worthy to add to that list.

Ugh... this new $7 price point really bothers me.

Everyone used to complain when you could only get points in $20 increments, and then MS loosened up and started selling $5 and $10 increments on their site. And now, that one point of goodwill is wiped out because so much of their stuff is at this $7 price point. At least when you could only get $20 worth, every game could work out to an even $20.
