It's testament to how much my taste in gaming has changed that I'm more excited for Rock Band 3 than anything else right now. Looks amazing!

This is win. Might actually learn real guitar now. Awesome. Midi keyboard interface is win because that means I don't need to buy a mini keyboard, I can use the one I've already got. Woot.

So EA/Harmonix settled with Gibson so they could sell new peripherals that were covered under the patent. This sounds like it will be better than PowerGig.
I wish I didn't suck at music and music games

Now I know why they didn't pick up the Van Halen license before GH did. They wanted to wait for keyboard support. BRING IT!

I'm slightly depressed that the interviewer (and most people actually) hasn't bothered to check out Lego Rock band, which while the game might have looked a little too "kiddy" for some people, really had a solid library, which can totally be exported, for free to my knowledge, my copy came with a free code to do so. Anyway if you haven't checked it out yet, it's only around 20 dollars at your local pickem up used games shop.

@xJimmeh No, you have the code that comes in the Lego Rock Band case but you still have to spring the $9.99 for the Export ability.

I'm gonna assume the Fender works by measuring the resistance in a closed circuit formed by pressing the metal strings down on the metal fret dividers. Seems the simplest way to do it.

I don't get the section on vocals. He keeps going on about the talky bits and adding autotune of all things to the game, but he doesn't address the game's horrible octave detection that makes vocals incredibly difficult for baritones. It'd be a lot easier to "sound better" in the game if I didn't have to suddenly shift my voice up on low notes and down on high notes.

So can someone explain to me, is that guitar with the billion frets harder, or the real guitar? Can you actually use the real guitar as a real guitar? If you play the guitar with the strings, are you really playing guitar at that point? We need higher resolution images and a simpler explanation.

I like the graphics, but I also want a feature where it keeps track of songs that you've 100%'d.
