Frankly, we're stunned we're even alive after the monumental effort it took to launch the brand new Joystiq for your enjoyment. But not only did we get it off the ground, we've also managed to make a podcast afterward. Inspiring is an awful big word to use, but if the shoe fits, we suppose.
Also, huge thanks to the amazing Mike MIke for the new podcast branding (you'll see it when you download the show) and to Alan Black for this inaugural, disturbing photoshop.

You shut your mouths. The old 'Stiq was glorious. New site is better, but don't grumpy all over that beautiful blue background.

I think that we should have a memorial service for the old site: 21 gun salute, hoards of mourners in the streets, an epic poem written in its honour, the works. Then we can focus on the new site once we have it out of our system

I'm actually a bit ashamed of what I did to that towel, now that there are babies on it. Albeit, creepy, creeeepy babies, but babies nonetheless.

I'm lovin' the redesign, sure I'll miss the old 'Stiq, but this is just great to look at. I love logging in and not having to worry about typing my email and password every time I leave a comment, and I'm pleased we can still upvote and downvote when we please. I'm gonna have to get used to the "look" of reply comments, but it shouldn't take too long. The logo looks fantastic by the way, and the colors are very, very nice. Great job Joystiq for making a beautifully looking and a beautifully working site.

Anyone else get a bunch of episodes of the XBox Fancast in their feed? And I haven't seen the podcast in my feeder yet, but you just posted it, I assume, so I'll give you some slack.

@MowDownJoe Yeah, this was a side effect of the relaunch, but it shouldn't change anything. iTunes is happy, the feeds are happy. Everyone is happy.

It sucks that Portal 2 got delayed. I hope I'm still alive when it's finally released.

RE: Comment about killing horses in RDR and the comment about how you never see the dog killed in movies...
Killing pets has been used in some films to comedic effect. See Boondock Saints' as an example :)

@andysexton OK, my user name actually changed to my overall account name between here and engadget, not the "Andy S" I'd been using here prior to the update. :-| WTH
I need to listen to the first of the podcast again to see what they said about that.

Heh, and the autoreply I got off of this said "AndyS" had responded. I think the user names are screwed up somewhat.
