Modern Warfare 2's second map pack, the "Resurgence Package," will be ending its brief stint of Xbox Live exclusivity next month. On July 6th, the map collection will be available for PC and the North American PlayStation Network. (European PS3 owners will have to wait until July 7th.) The DLC will likely carry the same price tag as its predecessor: a lofty $15. Included in the package are five maps, including two environments from Call of Duty 4:

Carnival is such an awesome map. I'm happy I picked this up on 360. The atmosphere or an old carnival is a little creepy, its fun to run and shoot from rollercoaster tracks, and you even get tricked or freaked out by some clown decorations hiding in the shadows.
The trailer park map sucks though

You could always spend $10 for no new maps instead.

yes, Grey, people are going to bitch every time. Because they know they have a gold mine and they're taking advantage of it severely. Look at the Killzone map packs. It's what, like 3 bucks for 2 maps? Maybe 4 or 5 bucks individually? Look at that Blacklight game... 12 maps for $10... Oh yeah, and the entire game. $15 for a few maps is incredible rape. Paying for maps is something relatively new in the first place. Since consoles need a unified delivery system, someone has to pay for the server usage in order to store and retrieve the maps. And yes, we should throw the devs some cash too. But to PC owners, this is even more BS. Counter-Strike has a zillion free maps (admittedly not a lot are professional quality, still more than MW2), and they are all free. No just user made maps, but the officially added professional maps. All free. I don't mind paying $5 for a few maps, but $15 is absurd.
Having said that I'm a sucker and will eventually buy them. I'll just wait until they go on sale.

Yes, I bunch of guys and I at work did this and it came out to $4 a piece since we all pay for the card, anything leftover is used for a theme.

I really wish they were cheaper. I would pay only for COD:4 maps because it takes me back to the best FPS this generation. Oh and by the way screw you microsoft for being a pussy and making PS3 owners to wait a month later! Ion't have nothing to do with your console wars! I just wanna play some damn games!

It may be a little high for 2 rehashes, but I play COD a lot. I want to inject some new life into the game. $15 is not that expensive. The new maps are really fun, and it's nice to have some old favorites back.
I could put on my tinfoil hat and decide that there's no way $15 is necessary for the work that went into the map, but Carnival and Fuel are so awesome that I don't care. It's worth it to me, and I'm not a sucker because I have the money to buy something that I'm going to put hours and hours into.
So maybe it should have been $10. Activision and Microsoft want to make money. Shocker.

Maybe if that candy bar entertained you for 20 hours, you might reconsider.

When did map pack 2 come out on the 360? I wasn't even aware of it!
$30 all total for 6 new maps is...not cheap.

This sucks again.. I love COD, but they punish me for buying for PC by CHARGING $10 EXTRA, for NO apparent reason, and then make us PAY for DLC that is traditionally free. Forced to use AlterIW

thx.
I want to be courageous and say I'm not going to pick this up until the inevitable price drop, but that could be more than a year.
Time to suck it up and take it up the rear... ='(
