I had sarcasm tags there, but it was edited out. Before I get flamed, my remarks are sarcastic.

I can't wait, RB2 UI was getting stale. I think it is cool that they are injecting some new blood into this and I still can use all of my past downloaded, RB1 and RB2 songs!

Yeah. but it will be a welcome challenge I think. One that you aren't REQUIRED to try but still ever another mountain to climb so extend the life of the game.

If you Google some of those lyrics in the screenshots, you'll notice some Genesis love in there (Sussudio) - hell yeah (and 'about time!')

I was believing the preview, until it was revealed that the writer doesn't even know what FC stands for (It's full COMBO, btw). I think I'll wait for someone that actually knows what the hell they are talking about, thank you very much.

Way to look like a massive douche, okay so he said the wrong word, in something that doesn't effect the rest of the article AT ALL.

But because he said that, it must mean that there isn't a keyboard or pro guitar or anything and it was all complete lies because he said the wrong word by accident, the preview is still a preview, which is all based on FACT, where as his point about FC something was a JOKE.

@(Unverified) I was wondering how they could pull off a full guitar configuration without making the interface a complete nightmare but the screens say it all. Very nice. To say I am looking forward to this would be the understatement of the century.

It's amazing how Harmonix has taken the music genre ball that they helped create, and just run so far with it. You look over at Activison and Guitar Hero, and this year, we're getting just another set list update with a few rock star cameos thrown in.

I'm extremely happy to hear about the backward compatibility with existing songs and the potential for importing from previous Rock Bands. I am concerned that with the addition of a new perphrial and harmonies, that older songs that could utilize these, won't. Or if they do, we'll end up paying a bit extra. I wouldn't be surprised if this also means that Rock Band DLC will come with an additional price tag to compensate for the additional work needed to put the songs in the game.

All the new modes sounds awesome. The way the initial start-up is now drunk-proof is a godsend. The fact that most of the current RB songs already have Pro Drum tracking hidden in them is goddam amazing.

But song ratings means I never have to play "Visions" again?

(Unverified) sure posts here a lot. I wonder when he/she has time to play games :)

I wonder if they will add keyboard tracks to the importable songs. That sounds like a tremendous effort unless they have some sort of analysis algorithm that figures it out on the existing tracks.

Rb2 is great for playing with real instruments. I am hopeful that RB3 will also have no fail mode, it is fun to play guitar, bass, or drums with that track subtracted out.
