Hmmm...the actual guitar looks like it takes a standard guitar cable. Perhaps that means I can use my own real guitar and use the adapter cable to plug it into the 360? I hope so! I'd love to cover some Dio with my Jackson!

Would that be a MIDI controller? Would that happen to support External Drums such as the Roland Lineup?

excited!

I have mixed feelings about this... at the same time it's AWESOME that
they are incorporating a real guitar in the game for me being and avid real guitar and rock band player, but at the same time I can't seem to understand how it would work....do you just press the string and strum it? of do you actually have to press the real fret and play it, as if it where a real guitar, ifs that's so then we are going to have some crazy charts to deal with lol

I don't know about this.. I mean it looks cool.. and I'm kinda excited about the fact that maybe you could actually learn to play guitar from this.... maybe... but I think the pricing is going to be outrageous and it will be too much simulation and less fun.

Anyone know if Fender will be making a hybrid bass controller as well?
Or perhaps I will be able to plug in my current bass and use that to play?

I don't think my TV is wide enough to display 102 different coloured boxes across the bottom...

@Mr Fridge

Good news for you is that its got the same number of note highways.. except on Pro they'll have numbers on each note, indicating where abouts on the fretboard your fingers should be going

I hope you can just use a regular guitar or something. They should release a peripheral that you can plug into the jack of your own guitar that reads it just like the internal one in the proprietary Fender guitar.

Seriously, I have two Ibanez PF electric-acoustics, and a hand made electric, why would I buy a whole new guitar that isn't as good?
