New Force Unleashed 2 trailer shows Vader doing what he does best

Darn that Darth Vader -- sure, he's a Sith Lord who betrayed his master, will blow up a planet without a second thought, and even threatens to kill his own soldiers, but honestly, you just can't trust the guy. This brand new E3 trailer from LucasArts for Force Unleashed 2 shows the game's protagonist Starkiller getting betrayed by ol' helmethead yet again, and then lightsaber slicing and dicing his way out of a whole heap of space trouble.

We already knew that Starkiller would be dual-wielding lightsabers in the game, and while this trailer is vague to say the least, it does hint at why we're seeing him whole and hale again, instead of the (spoiler) less-than-lively state we saw him in at the end of the last game. Looks like it's an Attack of the Clones all over again. At least that force power looks fun -- hopefully we'll see more at E3 next week. Watch the whole thing after the jump.

I love how all these trailers in teh past week seem to make E3 moot.

@ZexionArmando I've... seen things. That I can't yet talk about. But the answer to your question is yes. This is going to be a crazy E3.

It's probably to build the hype - so it resonates, attracting more attention at E3.

It'll be like in Metroid.. You'll start in the tutorial mode with hella power, and then get zapped by the infanto ray from Space Ace after about 5 minutes. You'll spend the rest of the game as Justin Bieber with the occasional ability to morph into the apprentice.

I've heard the big mystery of the game is if Starkiller is actually just a clone who somehow remembers his past life (maybe his spirit found its way into one of those bodies) or if he was somehow brought back (like Mass Effect's Shepard).

No matter what I am looking forward to this. Unleashed and Legacy are the only good things left about Star Wars.

The start of many sweet and pretty trailers funny thing is that E3 hasn't officially started yet. On a side note does anybody else feel their wallets crying at the onslaught of good games coming out this year and next year?

I really enjoyed the first one for what it was. It had its flaws, but it was fun. I look forward to playing this one as well.

I know, right? I'm loving the (oh so badass) trailer - but it half makes me wish they were making a movie or something, because I really didn't care for the first game.

When they first showed Vader I was wondering why Clone Wars couldn't look like this.

Wow, what an amazing use of lighting and cinematography. Even more gripping than Bioware's HD trailer for their Star Wars MMO was. A+!

I just finished the first one a few weeks ago, so I'm totally ready for this :D.

Wait, what? Vader leaves a few storm troopers in charge of killing him? What's next, is he going to slowly lower him into a tank of sharks with lasers on their heads?

Like the other plot twists in the last game, I'm guessing Vader had a reason for it, like he may want to leave one clone alive to further some plot he has by playing on the clone's hatred of betrayal

Why in the world would Vader leave possibly the most dangerous force user in the galaxy in the hands of a couple storm troopers? That's just bad storytelling.

Couldn't Vader have taken him out himself? I guess starkiller isn't high profile enough for Vader that he thinks it's a simple job for stormtroopers?

Sure the sequence looked cool, but at what cost? Making Vader look like a thoughtless idiot?

Not only that, but Vader left Starkiller with two lighsabers. No one's that stupid, right?

This leads me to believe that Vader didn't really want him dead and has some other motive going on behind the scenes. Perhaps to test that clone army of Jedi at the end of the trailer?

The trailer was good. But after desolving the stormtroopers he has to defeat a robot? That was underwhelming. But it was still good. Other then that, I want to see game footage not just CG!

Played Force Unleashed like 5 times through... TFU2 = 100% sure pre order. Just dont screw up the PC port again like this.
