Scott Pilgrim and the Amazing Trailer

We don't know what extremely gracious act of charity and selflessness was committed somewhere in the universe to make this beautiful Scott Pilgrim vs. The World game karmically possible, but whoever you are out there committing Mother Theresa-level good deeds, thank you.

Thank you thank you thank you thank you. Even if the actual game somehow ends up being less than Sex Bob-omberiffic, just a trailer like this, with its Anamanaguchi chiptunes and samurai fighting and epic pixelated cutscenes and guitar minigames (!) brings more light and joy into our world than we probably deserve. We don't know what you did, but it must have been really great, because the trailer after the break will make a lot of people very happy.

Whew, thank god it didn't use 3D graphics or have music with actual instruments - my indie cred would be finished!

I still don't get why this isn't on the Wii. It's just 16-bit graphics. Very elaborate graphics, no question, but still.

Because the hardcore fan base that would have appreciated it is not using the wii. The wii is owned by people who dont play games often and kids that wouldnt get the subtle nods to retrogaming or even the people who read the comic.

this needs online coop. if it doesnt, i wont be getting it. if it does, its a day 1 purchase.

Awesome-looking game. Day one purchase as a beat-'em up fanatic. Not to mention the minor fighting game allusions, such as w/ Street Fighter and KOF (like around 13-15 secs into the vid).
