looked really good, but nothing as crazy as the Halo2 E3 "reveal" back in the day. still look forward to playing the campaign as well as the revamped multiplayer.

I have to admit, the first half of Microsoft's conference, I had the dumbest grin on my face.

The game looks amazing, of course, but that was a really poorly made trailer. The music is awful, generic, action movie shit (which is surprising for Halo), the transitions are awkward, and the "stop and zoom in" bits look like they were thrown together in theater mode in 7 or 8 minutes.

I agree with you, although I kinda like the music; Its different... also maybe this music was made specifically for the trailer?
anyways I'm going to give them a little slack since its pretty much the E3 Trailer summed up into a short 1 minute clip

It's a bit of decent looking gameplay, but where is the cinematic single-player trailer that Bungie has always spoiled us with in the past? Every other major Halo title had an epic single-player trailer to go along with it, that provided a bit of insight into the story, along with a good glimpse of the various locales in the game. We get gray and space with this one, nothing more. This doesn't hurt my opinion of the game at all, but something a little more substantial would be nice.

That's precisely what I've been wondering about the two campaign trailers we've seen so far. They definitely aren't going with the "MC approaches the camera as the music swells" approach. It's different but I prefer their old strategy.

I'm maybe one of the five people who don't give a shit about Halo, but seeing that there will be SPACE BATTLES I'm actually considering to buy this. Hopefully Bungie is clever enough to implement a multiplayer space battle mode.

Seriously though, Halo has never looked so polished. I really like the bump up in graphics with the new engine.
Not so sure about the space battle stuff. I've played a lot of space sims in my day and this only looked halfway decent to me. I need to see more before I can fully judge though.
