Around this time every year, we like to allow ourselves at least one week of solid freak-out time in order to get prepared for E3. As we were fairly busy realizing the beautiful, beautiful dream that is Futurestiq for a majority of our waking hours last week, we weren't able to have our annual extended breakdown. Of course, this will have no effect on our coverage, but we know we'll forget to pack at least one important item for our journey to the west coast. You know, like our camera. Or our laptop charger. Or those pills we have to take everyday at noon in order to continue breathing regularly.
Oh well, no use crying over spilled, extremely expensive hypoallergenic medication. We're en route to E3, where we'll relate unto you all of the scoops, news and anecdotal horror stories we come across. Hopefully there'll be more of the first two, and less of the third, but we can't pretend to know how things are going to play out.

Just checked out last weeks hardware sales: http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/06/japanese-hardware-sales-may-24-may-30-pre-storm-calm-edition/
I guess the arrows don't format properly in Futurestiq... sigh... they will be missed.
On a more related note, the checklist made me laugh heartily.

It was always a flip of the coin would we see a flood of green arrows or would we see a flood of red arrows.
Now we gaze at these non-exciting colorless arrows. Even if was a good week in sales it would still feel dreary :(

We need those arrows back. Honestly if I actually have to look down the list I'm not going to read it. This is almost my laziest moment. Almost.

New Joystiq,
No name change feature,
Can't change to private profile (if you want to),
Now the arrows are gone,
What's next?

Exactly, When I've been "Jesus" on here for a year and a half and it gets changed somefreaking how to an odd combination of my real name, then I have a right to be pissed off. If there was a name change I could go back to the name I liked. But if you click on my profile it still has my old name, the one I want! They better work this shit out asap or I'm off somewhere else. Shame because I like the people here.

Joystiq. You have 3 possible options:
1: Bring back the coloured arrows.
2: Go bare-knuckle boxing with Skagzilla: http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100327222154/borderlands/images/d/d8/Skagzilla.png

Now with added blue! (And more changes inbound. I'll be trying to fix the arrows next).
Replying again since I forgot the new systems throws replies to replies out the window and into speeding traffic.

@(Unverified) If you're not fussed about applications, there ain't nothing wrong with a Zune. Some of us like our media players to do just that - play media - and the ZHD in particular does that beautifully.

@(Unverified) I'd love to have a Zune, but the Zune software is meh.
If I can't use the player like a portable hard drive, and just drag and drop what I want onto it, it's useless to me. That's why I've stuck with my sexy Samsung P2 for so long.
