No price given, so it must be well over priced.

@Errolian Well they may just be waiting to see if Sony gives a price for move tomorrow and then price Kinect accordingly. They probably want to come in cheaper or at least the same as the price of a playstation eye plus move.

Which game is that? Every single on that list could be called that.
I love it when cool technology goes to waste. Just look at the Wii. 95% shovelware even though the general idea for the console was great.

Was there ANY Kinect thing in the show today that was REAL? Everything looked pre-rendered, plus they couldn't even synchronize their moves to make it look remotely convincing.

Exactly my thoughts. None of the players movements matched up in any of the demonstrations. It looks like they learned from last years "you want to know what the bottom of an avatars show looks like? BAM there it is" fiasco. I noticed it from the start with Skittles the tiger and the way the girl was petting him. None of it was real time.

LOL why the downvote? Did you downvoters not even notice in that presentation with the black chick that it was a completely opposite arm moving in the demo? I'm not saying Kinect will automatically suck, I'm just saying that this initial presentation did not look genuine at ALL.

No price.... They must be trying to figure out a value price for it.

I'd say it's gonna be over $100 w/ no games included. If so, EPIC FAIL!

I can't imagine them selling it with no games included. There needs to be something you can play out of the box for the price they're probably going to have it at.

This is also Microsoft's Game's department. The people who locked out secondary HDD's and those Datel data carts. Also the people who charged you 100 for a Wifi adaptor.

From the live stream it looked like the demo's they had featured a non trivial amount of lag. Can't say I'm terribly excited for this.

With the negative reaction to the rumors of it costing $150, I wouldn't be surprised if MS just decided not to announce the price now to either re-think that decision or not tie in a negative price reaction to the launch announcement.

This is lame, very lame indeed. I have to say that Microsoft has lost this E3. Sony and Nintendo are now in a two man race to see who wins.

agreed. That was such a failure of a keynote that MS should have to give everyone a free slim 360 just to erase the memories. They really couldn't of done any worse if they tried. Even if Nintendo announces games for it's heart monitor and shows the 3DS they'll be instantly better. Sony's pre E-3 announcements are already better than MS's keynote.

I couldn't stop laughing. The keynote felt like a parody of the actual presentation.

If you judge it by original content, certainly, though Kinect was certainly original, they spent too much time on stuff that had nothing to do with gaming at all (like that video chat thing and that ESPN deal)

Wow. Wii HD but with extra lag. There's like 3 or 4 things on that list I might be interested in buying... But only 1 or 2 that I would be willing to pay more than $30-40...

Not really impressed with Microsoft's Keynote this year. That's 2nd year in a row.

Some cool games, good to finally see an upgraded XBox... But no atom bomb announcements. Oh well, there's always next year, I guess.

If Kevin Butler hosts Sony's confrerence and they announce PSN+ with cross-game chat and Team Ico Collection on Blu-Ray or Nintendo's 3DS explodes my brain with awesome, Microsoft's keynote will really pale in comparison.

But then again, that's just my opinion folks!

I'm wondering if the lag has to do with the screen they used to display it. I use a plasma screen at home and even with that I get enough lag to screw up a game of Guitar Hero or Street Fighter. It's especially annoying when I'm trying to point a Wiimote at the screen. I can imagine the video signal they were displaying might have been running through more than a couple of components between the console and the screen itself.

That being said, I still have no interest in Kinect after seeing some of the games. I have to give them respect for how cool some of it looked, it just didn't look very fun.

Mostly underwhelming selection of "games". Not much for the hardcore gamer. Even kind of weak for the casual gamer. Still looks a little demo-ish.

Though I am interested in the sports game. My family would probably enjoy that. And the best part...I don't need four controllers and four plus adapters to make it work!

This is the best they can come up with out of the gate for launch titles? "The Biggest Loser"?! Seriously?!

There are about three to four games that are exercise related or will be some form of exercise like the dancing game. Seems like Kinect is being painted more as an exercise device than a gaming device.

I didn't think Kinect was going to be this bad. If Sony has a great presentation with Move I think they'll steal the show. So far I don't see MS getting a good grade this year.

@RangerPrimeX I thought so, too. But it does worry me that they didn't price it. I mean, strategically it makes sense I guess (wait for Move's price, etc) but chances are it's just going to be too pricey for me to take much interest in.

i'm totally into Kinect. I'm buying it day one as long as it's less than $150. It's a shame about all the negativity it's getting from the majority of gamers. But all the games they've demoed today look like a lot of fun to play with my wife and kids.

And as the conference showed, we're still getting great games - Halo (SPACESHIPS!!!), Gears (4P CO-OP!!!!!), Fable (MOLYNEAUX!!!!!), Black-Ops (CHOPPERS!!!!). If you're not into the motion control, then don't buy it. I have voice recognition in my car (love you, Sync). And I absolutely cannot wait to own it for my games/movies.

I agree, I've been skeptical, but color me slightly more interested now. Not a day one customer, I need to wait and see how it really plays before I'll jump on board. But I can see it in the $100-$150 range, which places it in the 'possibility' category for me. I'm really interested in how it controls the media, since I use Netflix nearly as much as I play anything.

This was MS's chance to sell the world on Natal. They failed to elicit anything from me except face palms. It looks so unresponsive and so underwhelming I have to question if this thing is anywhere close to ready for market. In my opinion, they should have launched this thing with the next version of their xbox.

We already knew about Gears 3, Fable 3, Halo Reach, MGS Rising and Call of Duty. They didn't show a single new core IP ... just a bunch of half baked games for Natal. I really hope Sony at least attempts to sell me, a core gamer, on Playstation Move. Socom sounds great but give me something ... something more than what MS is offering. Personally, I can't see MS getting any higher than a C- grade for this years E3. Absolutely terrible, cringe worthy and facepalm-able. This was even worse than GIANT ENEMY CRAB!!!

You must of had extremely low expectations. Personally, it looks to be 3-4 years away from coming to market. The applications looked like some of the most half baked games I've ever seen. I also laughed at the new Forza being in glorious HD at 60 FPS ... yeah but obviously the environments and the textures aren't there. What a letdown. It actually makes me a little sad for MS. I don't like them but I expect more from them in order to bring me back into the fold. I've been waiting for a Slim 360 and Natal was supposed to be that thing my family couldn't live without. As it stands, We'll keep the Wii for casual gaming.
