I still view the conference as a tech demo.

Nothing about it is SUPER impressive now, but I can look down the road and see where this sort of technology can take us, and its a much more exciting path than Sonys wiimotion +++, or anything ive seen from nintendo.

@Johnnynumber5 is powered by cell

So the graphics were terrible. I'm not denying that. I'm amazed at the technology. While this is by no means perfected, it's certainly a step in the right direction. With what they are demonstrating now, imagine what our kids will have in 20 years. It's just a stepping stone, but a large one.

Gamestop posted a $149 price which is either speculation or WAS to be announced but pulled by Microsoft from the conference. I am hoping for more of a $99 price but even at $149 I still am excited especially for Star Wars and the interface features

Ok, what the hell is wrong with the replies people? How could I reply to someone else, and have it stuck here... above someone who posted 20 minutes earlier than I did!?

Seems to me Microsoft decided to get devs/pubs to make the same, or same type of games that are currently popular with the perceived Wii audience.

We will see what happens, but I don't think the sort of people that buy those sort of games own Xbox 360 consoles. I'm going to go ahead and predict that marketing will decide Kinect's fate.

I'm not attracted to those games at all. I might get it down the line for navigational purposes only unless better games make use of it. There's a reason the Wii in my house got moved to the basement for everyone else...

hmmm, i'm a fan of the innovation and idea of Kinect, but the game selection is disappointing.... it basically looks like 3 games since i see the same names in common:

1) sports
2) dance
3) kinect

Am i the only one seeing this? they better not cost more than $10 each. The only game sounds worth getting Kinect for is Fable when it comes out.

mmm, i was at gamestop yesterday, hunting down an obscure ps2 title, and i noticed something.

there is a game for the "eyetoy" the ps2 camera, called "kinetic." now doesn't that sound very familiar?

I wonder if sony might consider, you know, suing xbox for trademark infringement. i mean if victor's little secret can infringe on victoria's secret...

Probably $149.99 and I'd pay for that if there was a good game in that bunch but come on.
