So Microsoft took the press to the circus, used them as shills for their launch campaign advertisements, and then didn't even give up a final official price?

Sounds like an event where after which your integrity causes you to take a shower. (or just keep enjoying free games ya know whatev)

That was pretty uncool of MS to use journalists without their permission in an ad. Have to say, don't like the new name. Kinect is some mashup of kinetic and connect. Sure I "get" it but I don't want it. Have to say liked Natal more. Ah well. I'm sure it'll be like Wii eventually it wont even be something remembered.

Not sure how I feel about kinect/natal so far. Motion controls intrigue me but so far I really haven't been impressed with what Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft have done with them so far.

Huh, that turned out to be rather a waste, aside from looking at software. We didn't even get a price.

The conference sounds kind of dumb, but sometimes I think journalists have to learn to just have fun with stupid things once in a while. Who cares if you dance around like an idiot in some poncho.

Anyway, the real conference is today. I, for one, am glad they got this out of the way.

Kinetic should be dubbed Pathetic.
Nothing more than a cheap Sony PS2 Eyetoy knock off!

No controller, no accuracy, no thank you - what a joke.

Both Sony and Nintendo passed on this tech a while ago for good reason

@sbains

At least Sony was smart enough to use a real controller in conjunction with the PS Eye.

Buttons FTW!

"Video chat between two girls. No, not as interesting as it could have been."

That was funny.

I can't believe they misspelled "Connect". They're a US company so they can't even blame it on a poor transcription. Maybe they should of used some of that that money to hire a proof-reader.

Someone's going to get fired for THAT screw up.

LOL, but it was cool that the girl controlled the dashboard through her hands...
