I doubt I'll get this. I actually had a reason to take yoga class in high school, unlike here...

Please Microsoft, announce games with Kinetic for hardcore gamers! Not just casual ones!

@ArcticPlumber
Halo Reach with Kinect?
Hmmmmmmmmmm, I wonder if I could scan my cat in and use him as an assault rifle.
On second thought, maybe that's not such a great idea.

Seriously, the launch titles for Kinect aren't as interesting as the Move's launch titles.

@ArcticPlumber

I love how many people (including myself and, apparently, even Ben Gilbert in this post) are spelling it KINETIC instead of KINECT.

Wonder how long that'll last.

This will probably work a lot better than Wii Fit, since it could force you to make the poses.

call me crazy, but i doubt hardcore gamers are going to get behind any of this hyped up crap. motion control and 3d need to die in peace

You make hardcore gamers sound like pretentious douche bags.

@Theillusivegamer; I'm behind it 110% and I'd consider myself a "hardcore" gamer. I'm just crazy enough to believe they can coexist, on the market as well as on my shelf - because that's exactly what's already been happening for the last four years.

While being a hardcore gamer I wouldn't hold out and say I wouldn't try this. It just goes to who its directed at. I do yoga as it is in my weekly workout and weight training regiment so given a preview and glimpse at it I might be willing to try.

......... I don't know.. They're obviously REALLY pushing the casual market, but would people into Yoga actually shell out for an Xbox360, the Kinect, and then for this game just to play Yoga?

I have no idea how a game like this could ever sell well. :\

@PhilipJWitow

Maybe, I dunno, there's some overlap between people who practice Yoga and people who play Video Games? Or maybe somebody else in the household would have a use for the game, even if the Xbox's owner didn't.
That's a pretty narrow way of thinking of sales.

Isn't Nintendo about to announce a new Yoga game with that heart sensor?

Yeah I hate the reactionary "there's motion so it must be casual" crap. This is executed way better than the Wii stuff that set the bar so low. It's a new way to play games, "hardcore" gamers should be all over this. The idea of actually improving my motor control and learning new skills (think Ju-Jitsu Kinect" instead of pushing buttons is appealing to me. It's a whole new world of challenge.

I'm sure this will be a lot more helpful considering the fact that the camera should be tracking your body.

Frankly, I'd be much more prone to scan in a cat to shoot at it than to shoot with it.

I think this would be great if it worked like a virtual instructor helping to teach the proper form of a Tai Chi Kata.
