I wonder if you have to play it with the screen sized down like that or if it's that fancy photog work?

@2Slick 3 vs. 3 on XBL/PSN... akin to NHL's 6 on 6 or NBA Lives 5 on 5, so a total of six people on different consoles, maximum. It's not 3 on one console vs. 3 on another. It's setup this way because of how the action is set up in the game... You can't switch between all 11 players on the field, you as a player control a certain section of the field, so, for instance, on Defense, one guy is the secondary, one guy is the linebackers, and another is the D-line. On offensive, one is the QB, one are the backs, and the other controls the WRs. The camera is pulled back to show the whole field but can be position specific (which isn't very good IMO).

Just to add, NFL 2K1's was completely different than this. It was 4 people on 1 console versus 4 people on another console. This isn't. Not saying that this mode will be any good (because online coop last year was over hyped and sucked), but the 2K football references are so old.

It was different. THis is 6 consoles over XBL or PSN and it's a different control system where, as a player, you have certain responsibilities on field (ie, secondary, linebackers, D-line, etc). It's like saying that because you could play 8 on 8 on the genesis by using two system links, that this is just catching up to the Genesis. You could also do this in Madden 2002 on the PS2, ESPN/NFL 2K4 on the X-Box, etc (ie, 8 players across 2 consoles online), but the modes always sucked and they're different from what this is. Now, I'm not even a fan of Madden '11, I think it looks like a major letdown after the improvement of Madden '10, but let's not comparing apples and oranges.

Nobody even play co-op on the current Madden. What makes them think 3-v-3 would be successful. Nobody likes playing one position waiting for the QB to hand or throw them the ball because in football games, everybody love me some me.
