Rooms: The Main Building?

Scary.

Only Rooms: The Outlying Buildings could be any scarier!

Nintendo really has nothing to worry about considering mario galaxy 2 will probably be sold out everywhere once the holidays come around

@eagle6002

I think Nintendo's problem is only what should they do next. I mean they've had such a huge success with the DS and the Wii, but what can they possibly do to top these two platforms? The 3DS is the answer to the DS, but what about the Wii? :\

DUDE!! Mario galaxy in HD would've been awesome! Youtube the video of it running 720p via Dolphin emulator, it looks even better than it already does.

@Shadowbender

It sucks that Alan Wake is being completely overshadowed by Red Dead Redemption. I'm not a big fan of GTA style games so I preferred Alan Wake over RDR. So sad to not see it anywhere.

@Shadowbender Alan Wake my dear and fellow fan isn't selling more than RDR but that doesn't mean that Alan Wake isn't selling.

Interesting how well Red Dead is doing in the UK. Britons, is there a special fascination with the American west in general in your pop culture? And If so, why do you think?

Don't know about all the young 'uns today, but when I was a kid we always used to play cowboys and indians!

So for me it's childhood nostalgia and Spaghetti Westerns!

Wow, surprising.
Especially since many Aussies imported Galaxy 2 from there, which would have bumped it up even further.
But I suppose the UK does love their R*.

Apparently, it only got beaten by 1,000 units and that's beaten by a game on two consoles so I'd say it did very well

It's not like Galaxy 2 is better.

The game would be amazing if the camera wasn't so damn impossible. It's unadjustable 90% of the time, and in an explorer/platformer like Mario that's unacceptable.

"Week ending June 12" - that's only *two days* (or maybe three, depending how they count) of Mario sales, since it was released on June 10th. And it's still in 2nd slot.

If thats true its even better because its 2 days of sales vs a entire week.

Single format charts tho the game is top, with red dead 2nd and 3rd.

Part of the reason for Rooms: The Main Building's success in the charts is despite it being on the shovelware pile, it's had something that most shovelware and even high profile Wii/DS games get... TV Advertising. In particular ads aimed at the older gamer in mind, and especially with father's day quickly approaching quite rightly they're attempting to cash in on sales to their key demographic. Fair play too them too that they've pulled it off.

Charts finished on the 12th and Mario was released on the 11th. For 2 days, Mario did very well. Either way, the original Galaxy (alongside every Mario game still in circulation) has an extremely long tail beside the initial spike. Nintendo has some way of making games tail away for quite a while longer than expected.

(By tail I mean consistent long term sales for quite a lot longer than other games - ie. the skew of the sales graph)
