I wonder who in the press is going to keep theirs? Yeah, there's all this "no gifts" rules this and that, but if MS is giving the whole audience a brand spanking new 360 they must know about the press/company protocols.
I kinda wish MS just had their own giveway to like the first 500 people at special event or something.

i think it looks great and is a good buy for new customers, but for those upgrading it isn't worth it unless your xbox and HDD die

I'm honestly not trying to say this as a fanboy, because honestly I'm happy about what Microsoft has done with their natal-kinect thing, but I don't seem to see much news beyond that and the new form factor, and a couple of games. I'm seriously asking if I missed some other anouncment because if I remember correctly, Last years confrence was quite a bit more epic.

@crazypeng1 I haven't seen or heard of anything beyond this. I'll personally say that I think the Ubisoft fitness game thing was pretty epic - on more of a casual level obviously. I'd have to go with Bulletstorm for the hardcore stuff, which isn't Microsoft.

Yeah, their E3 conference kindda sucked. Only things really worthwhile (I felt) were MGS: Rising (which I have mixed feelings on: looks awesome, but isn't a really a MGS) and Gears 3 (badass). Both of these games had already been announced, though.
Can't imagine Sony's being much better, what with having announced loads of new games already. Same with Nintendo. This year's E3 seems a bit lame.

$20 for a transfer cable is one hell of a ripoff.
Although I do think you have the warranty thing wrong. It was always a 1 year limited warranty, with an unlabeled 3 year warranty in cases of RRoD and e74.
