But Activision owns the Bond license, therefore it's next to impossible for Rare to touch it.

I find it funny that so many gaming journalists spend all year bashing the Wii and being jaded about Nintendo at large..
..but get them in a Nintendo E3 conference and they're cheering like kids again.
I love Nintendo.

Yea GoldenEye on Wii doesnt make sense with the motion junk who wants to play shooters like that?
I will stick with GoldenEye Source for PC until it comes to Xbox or PS3. Plus the graphics are terrible but still improved on the original.

i agree with you. The Wii killed multi platform gaming with the motion junk. Thats why i dont like the Wii . I love my nintendo games and want to play them more than anything but im not gonna put up with motion controllers and how inaccurate they are.
Also it doesnt help the Wii cant handle the games that run on xbox and PS3 they didnt put enough power into the device to run these types of games.

IMHO GoldenEye was great at the time because it was the first real multiplayer fps. I'm not sure how it's going to fair now after all the other fps games like COD and Halo.

Love letter to Goldeneye fans, but it won't re-revolutionize the FPS genre.

Like I said in the previous Goldeneye article, It concerns me that nostalgic factors that made the original great are going to be lost. Examples like the absents of Brosnan, exploding objects, Dr. Doak, Ken Lobb look alike enemies (and the KLOBB of course), and the list goes on.
And yeah it was said before - but what about other actors? Are character models going to be all replaced since they looked like the actors (well sort of).

I think everyone is thinking about this in the wrong way. I don't think Nintendo is planning to make a huge splash in the FPS world with Goldeneye re-make, because it already did back in 97. Nintendo knows that droves of us loved Goldeneye, and still do. And our generation is a very nostalgic bunch who are going to jump all over this because it will (hopefully) be everything we remembered it for. It doesn't have to be better than before, but just hark us back to those good old days. That's enough for me at least.

I'd love to play this. I loved Goldeneye back in the day as a kid.

If there's no DK mode I won't even look at it.
So so many laughs with DK mode.

Hmm...
I already have plans to buy my sister and ste bro a wii for xmas this year. They are NOT gamers but for some reason have a big interest in the Wii (props to Nintendo's marketing team).
I may have to buy goldeneye for when I'm visiting them and too lazy to pack up my PS3.

I am VERY cautiously tracking this one. So many things can turn me off completely.
