Gran Turismo 5 coming November 2, 2010 (seriously!)

Finally.

A Gran Turismo 5 trailer shown during Sony's E3 press conference ended with a fairly definitive end to the years of speculation, doubt and delays, displaying a November 2 release date for the game. At least, we think this is the final release date. We've been hurt so many times before.

That trailer with the night time footage and top gear track looked pretty effing sweet. The Top gear track graphics looked exactly like on tv ..

Same. I've moved on to more arcadey racers. I probably only buy one racing game every couple of years and it is usually Mario kart.

I think they should delay it till the 5th though,
it'll be no.5 on the 5th :).

So just as long as nothing else comes out between now and November for this game to delay for support, we're good.

If this ships in November, next E3 they will announce GT6.

@imeNrique :: Quite possibly. The incubation period should have given them plenty to make it so. Hopefully it is.

i used to care about it when they were talking about it before the PS3 came out. Then i just played Forza and dont plan on looking back. Sorry fellas you took too long.

It's about time. I hope they release a demo based on the final build, the one they released earlier gave me great incentive not to buy it.

For the collision at E3, where the car rose above the barrier.. I'd want something to come off the car.. I saw one of the previous videos where the doors came off, the front & rear bumbers were almost off which was nice, but the paint was intact and there were no dents

While it took a long time to be made, it would be nuts to not want to get any GT game that comes. They are just simply great driving games.

Top Gear test track, along with the Stig... I'm going to skip ahead to Nov. 2 and get this right now. I'll let you know if it was delayed.

I 100% agree. I love how some Gt overlook the fact that GT Has never had any soul or that excitement factor, yes the cars tracks and graphics were great, but that was it. and for years i enjoyed it. until i saw other games with damages and the same upgrades and things like a dyno, and basic info like 0-60 braking and G numbers. and Im not big fan of crazy bodykits and but over the years im come to expect some cosmetic level of customization. and custom paint. their rim selection was VERY limited and even the sense of speed has always been missing. Even in prologue doing 60 looks the same as doing 160...it makes no sense, especially from a self proclaimed simulator.....Im not hating o gt, I grew up on it, i would even go as far as say i learn how to drive because of it but when i think back on those 100s of hrs It wasnt fun it was work. I just had to get more money for more cars......

I hope they make a collectors edition!

I honestly believe that if games take TOO long in development they actually start to suffer in quality, especially as expectations start to build up over SIX YEARS.

My excitement for this game started to wane in 2008 sometime, and now I'm just like "whatever".

I still won't believe this game is out until I'm inserting the disk into my PS3, and even then I'm prepared to be severely underwhelmed.

But I'm not bitter or anything.
