Nintendo 3DS third-party developers surface

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has unveiled a laundry list of developers, publishers and franchises which will make their way to the 3DS. We'll get a more comprehensive list later this week, but here's what we know for now:

Square Enix and Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy franchise, Chocobo Racing 3D
THQ and Saints Row
DJ Hero
Capcom and Resident Evil
Ubisoft and Assassin's Creed
Namco and Ridge Racer
Konami and the Metal Gear Solid franchise
EA Sports and Madden
Tecmo Koei and Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive
Professor Layton and the Mask of Mircale (not final title)

Stole the show. Sony better have the PSP2 ready tonight.

@Uncontrol I don't think they will, even with the failure of the PSPgo Sony needs to revive the PSP name so when the release a successor people will want to buy it because they believe this one will be supported well

Although it's possible, it's more likely that they'll unveil it next year or the year after.

Although the PSP is barely comparable to the PS2 under certain situations they need something that looks better than the 3DS. Something that I think is good looking but perhaps over hyped. It isn't that epic of an update when compared to the best looking PSP games and if Sony show the PSP2 to have similar graphics it'd be ridiculed into oblivion. That's why Nintendo is throwing on the charm with additional "features" for the 3DS, plus it is miles ahead of their DS' Playstation 1.4 graphics.

There also wasn't nearly as much chatter for the PSP2 preE3 than the 3DS.

seriously good conference this year. i was certain they were going to show it off, but to have stuff playable on the show floor and game announcements like MGS and resident evil is pretty impressive. let's see what sony's got in store...

I see Atlus, and I think Ogre Battle, despite only being the publisher of the 64 version. OB64 on the DS would be amazing...

Square Enix owns the Ogre Battle IP now (along with their developer, Quest), but don't worry, they're on the list too.

Poor Sony, I don't think they can top what Nintendo has pulled out especially the line up from the 3DS.

Anyone else notice the Vitality Sensor was nowhere to be seen

I applauded at the end of the nintendo E3 press confrence because they didn't say anything about the vitality sensor.

Everyone applauded for every shown game (Kingdom Hearts, MGS, etc.).

People actually laughed when Saints Row came up. That was an incredible moment.

Also, I love how it was quiet when EA came up. It was as if the hive-mind was trying to decide whether to continue laughing, applaud, or to boo.

Great E3 for Nintendo in my opinion. Just trying to bankrupt me i see.

Wish they had gone to 4.0 inches for the 3D screen but not too shabby. Definitely a huge upgrade over the DS.

Best part was the crowd laughing it's ass off at the prospect of Saints Row on 3DS.

Well the last Kirby game I played was a long time ago so I can see how I missed that.

I know a coworker with a grandchild that was born with only 1 eye, which makes 3D impossible for her. With the slider ability to turn off 3D she would still be able to play this. Good thinking on Nintendo's part.
