I hope you understand why you're being downvoted. I also hope you were trying to be sarcastic and failed.

@fredgaso downvote him all you want, but Obsidian has a track record of broken-ass games. Most recently with alpha protocol. The team may have been involved with the original series, but as a studio they're not known for quality.

i WAS very interested in this game but i'm skipping it, downvote away but i'm not interested in this glorified Fallout 3 mod.

I put a LOT of time into Fallout 3 and loved it. i looked past the dated engine and awkward animations to play through it but not so much this time. more of the same isn't worth $60 to me.

Now come on guys. Obsidian isn't that bad. Let's take a look at some of their successes!

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II
Neverwinter Nights 2
...
umm
...
well then...

Still SWKotORII was on there...
and althougb broken a bit initially, the expansions did make the game quite a lot better.

I'm actually glad to hear it's straight Fallout 3 with minor improvements. I loved FO3, and I imagine Obsidian would hit some of the Fallout stories better than Bethesda.

"The world is comparable in size to the area we've explored around DC"

So it's smaller than Fallout 3 : / Still haven't seen anything that couldn't be done with minimal effort on fallout 3.

I am pretty sure he meant the world map will be comparable in size to F3's...

"...area explored AROUND DC"

Yea, not the small little bottom right corner, the whole map. Space ships and fake superheroes included.

I think you're looking too deep into what he is saying. All of Fallout 3 was around DC. That is why it was called the Captol Wasteland. I'm sure it is just as big as Fallout 3.

I actually couldnt decide if i liked fallout or not for the first... 10 or so hours that I played. but once I got past the initial areas and wandered the world, I was hooked. 150h on my first char, and about 70 on my second, I'm definitely looking forward to this game.

Bring on Fallout: New Vegas!!

I don't mind that it is kind of samey. As long as there are new and exciting quests and people to save I'll be there. Fallout 3 was the shit. Expansion or not, if it is as big as the capital wasteland I will gladly give them my money. Plus all the new weapons, gambling, and new locales doesn't hurt. New Vegas here I come!!!!

Indeed, it was very unfortunate that the PS3 F3 plagues at least some gamers to this very day.

I won't buy this until I'm sure it won't again. Even though it's such a great game.

@TheRagingBull I feel for ya. I don't think any version of the game was without game-breaking bugs. The PC version (the one I played and am still playing) crashes to desktop so often I took to quick-saving after every encounter or every 5 minutes, whichever came sooner. Often it would be triggered by going inside/outside/between rooms, which crapped up the auto-saves.

I've heard that the PS3 version was the worst of the three though (bugs that stopped you completing quests etc)

I think I'll wait for a price drop I still haven't opened up the GOTY edition for the PS3 that I got back a while ago and already played FO3 on the PC when it came out so once I get the GOTY out of my backlog I'll probably get this.

So it looks like another 100 hours lost and another girlfriend complaining that all I do is play games. Thank god for beer!

Alpha Protocol is not nearly as bad as people say. Definitely nothing amazing but if you ignore all the reviews for a second and make your own opinion, it's a good game.

More Fallout 3 means more crap compared to the original 2, but the story will be better and the advertised Hardcore mode will be there for people who aren't the moronic wimps that showered Fallout 3 with undeserved praise. So maybe it'll be fine.
