I know why he gets downrated: Because Fanboys don't like others talking they're games bad!
I LOVED fallout 3, but as the writer already wrote: more content doesn't mean, it's not just DLC-worthy content!

I really don't get why people love gambling mini-games.
Loved Fallout 3 and will no-doubt love this as well.

@delicatessen lama

For the same reason people love gambling irl. People love the risk reward aspect of it. When you win the feeling you get is amazing.

@BrianH He said it is more of the same with some tweaks and a new map. Sounds good to me!

completely ok with this being "more of the same," but I expect a big leap for Fallout 4, especially in character models and animation.

Just reserved the collector's edition. Skipped the one for Fallout 3 and definitely regret it now.

Well I guess there is the aspect of suspense, because you aren't sure if you are going to win or lose. In RDR I was playing a long game of some type of gambling against two computer characters and the award was a land title deed. The cost of a single game was quite high and I lost two times before I won. Even though I could load if I lost all my money the suspense was quite high. Still, it seems kind of lame. There is suspense in Bad Company 2 when you have to deactivate an enemy charge, I guess that is also a bit of a gamble since you don't always know where and what the enemy is doing.

So it's more of the same? That's good I suppose... but this makes me very afraid that Obsidian will remain true to form, since they got the "plays like the first one" bit down, my guess is game crippling Obsidian-flavored bugs. Not that... um... every single title Obsidian has ever released has been riddled with bugs but., ah christ who am I kidding? Obsidian's sequels to other companies great RPGs would hardly be Obsidian developed sequels if they didn't feature game-breaking bugs.

I am way excited for this! More Fallout plus the return of traits and new/different perks. I am chomping at the bit to play this.

I can only hope/assume that the writing will be considerably better in this than it was in Fallout 3, though the engine change seems to limit the amount of displayed text, meaning it probably won't have the depth or detail of the original.

Could the author have been a little more upbeat? I loved Fallout 3 and it felt like he was talking me out of playing New Vegas. A little enthusiasm goes a long way.

The more I see of this, the more I don't care. I already clocked damn near 200 hours into Fallout 3, so this expansion hardly looks varied enough to keep my interest.

My wife and I are very happy to hear that it's pretty much Fallout 3 in a new setting. Fallout 3 is our favorite game of this gen.
It sounds like they added enough tweaks to keep things interesting but even if they didn't, just a new place to explore would've been good enough for me.

Wait... so are you saying that Gears of War 2 and 3 are pretty much DLC for Gears of War 1? Or that CoD:MW2 is DLC for MW1?

Methinks I smell a double standard.
