That's the packaged game right? So Move comes out in September... or did we already know that?

Awesome list, cant wait for LBP2, KZ3, and Sorcery also looks sweet. Will be cool to see how the Sly Cooper games use Move.

And anybody know if all current RE5 titles will be updated for PS Move? Or do we have to buy the Gold Edition?

Actually, rather annoyingly Capcom (or whoever) has said (rather discreetly) that the Move feature in Resident Evil 5 is ONLY for Japan. Yes, I am EXTREMELY annoyed aswell.

The Move is looking good. Every time I hear about it, I think "Can't be that good." But the I see just how accurate it is and how fun it looks to play and I get so hyped up for it.

Really glad Sony decided to Push the Move today, since I'm pretty much sold now.

Sorry to hijack this post but the only things needed for this is the Move controller(s) and the one camera the sub controller is an optional add on since it was said and shown that you can use your DS3 in its place it may be inconvenient but it save the money that everyone is claiming the move will eat

Yeah...no.

i was seriously planning on getting Move, but at the prices announced(although I already have the PS Eye), and this line-up, I'm just not feeling it any more, especially when considering Kinect, all of the 360, and Wii games coming this year, and finally the 3DS plus any launch titles. I don't have all the money I'd need, and that means Move can go on the back burner.

I agree, it's really expensive to get the Move and the nunchuck, 80 bucks total. And I'm not sure but is the charging station required?

But the games are cheaper.

It's expensive for me, because I have several people that I love to play Wii with regularly, and I can't buy $200-$300 worth of this stuff so we can all play. At least Kinect allows others to just jump right in for one price.

but you're willing to buy a $50 Wii mote motion plus bundle and on top of that $20 nun chuck for your Wii? Not to mention batteries or a charge station which you don't even need for Move.

Why is it with Sony price is always the problem? Are people expecting Sony to just hand out the Move for free?

@ItsameMatt03 ,

You have like 3 games, you and your mates could play with each other (kinect adventures , joyride / sonic free riders).. Unless you all like to dance around your living room or possibly exercise together and get all sweaty, stinking up your apartment ? The rumoured price is $150 -- no idea of final price, plus I would guess $60 for the games..

For the move you only need to spend $50- stuff like start the party is 4 player, but only uses 1 move controller (you pass the controller around) , they said all move games will retail for less than normal games at $40, You might have missed that, but the move only games will be cheaper than full normal retail games..

How much does a normal dual shock retail for ? I think its around the same price.. Its not like you need to rush out and buy all of the controllers at once.. All you need to do is buy 1 move controller and try out the games, if you like it you can buy the nav controller as well.. If your friends already have a ps3 they can buy their own move controllers and bring them down to your house when you all meet up ..

@spacefox -- no need for separate charging stations , all ps3 controllers have built in batteries and all charge via usb..

Unless I interpretted him wrong its not as if he's saying "Move is too expensive and excuse me while I buy a second Wii system right as we speak".

I can completely empathise with where he's coming from. I had no problem buying a Wii and all its bits a couple of years ago, but back then I also had a lot more money. At launch, Move will simply be the wrong price-wrong time for some people, despite how good it may look

The other commenters do make a good point. The expensiveness of the controllers are offset by the fact that the games are cheaper.

Also, you're willing to shell out $150 for Kinect but not $80 for the Move? I don't get what games Kinect has that makes it worth paying double the price. :\

@crayola ,

The kinect is rumoured at around $150 and so far has absolutely no good launch games..

The price of that no matter what it will be is not an issue for matt, but 1 controller that costs $50 is ? Its not like he has to rush out and buy controllers for him all of his mates, his next door neighbours and whoever else.. He only needs to get 1 controller @ $50 to experience the majority of the move games..

It all depends on how you look at it.. If you want to be an ass, you can add every possible controller config and come out with some stupid $300-400 price tag and then add in all of the games your likely to purchase with it and come up with a figure of $10,000 and shout about how expensive it all is..

Kinect is $150 for as many as want to play. Move is $80 for one person. Between my fiancee and I we have four sets of Wii remotes, nunchuks, and MotionPluses. We regularly play with 3-4 players. Put in that perspective, you can why Move is too much especially when added to the list I already have. Not to mention I just spent $1,000 on a TV.

move is $50 per person, why do you add the nav controller to the price ?

The nav controller is for games like socom and kz3 and sorecery all of them will be single player experiences.. So at most you will need 1 nav controller, this is what I mean you want to bundle everything to make the move more expensive than it actually is..

No, you want to use fuzzy math to make Move look like a better deal. Is there a hard number out for Eye Toy penetration? I'm guessing that a lot of people will have to get the $99 bundle to get started.

Not to mention all the trailers and eventually TV commercials that will feature the nav controller or even a second Move controller being used by one person. So people are going to think they need another piece bringing the price up to $130-150. So now it's on pair with the suspected Kinect price.

Can't we just be agree that it's going to come down to personal preference, deals, and who has the better marketing campaign? Competition and choice is actually good for consumers...

The following are TRUE
1. the Move alone cost 50 bucks.
2. You do not need the Navigation controller, you can use a Sixaxis
3. If you have a camera then 50 bucks is all you need to spend.
4. If you dont have a camera 30 more dollars wont kill you.
5. If the consumer doesnt choose to learn the facts Especially when they're easy to find out, then they have no one but themselves to blame if they get ripped off for buying things they dont need.

@McDuckScrooged Kojima has very little to do with Rising. It's just his studio working on it. If at some point after the game is released they find it might be useful they might actually just patch it in. It's not really a missed opportunity if they still have a chance to do it.

i'm interested in an article for joystiq to post the game lineup for Kinect, i'm eventually getting both but trying to figure out which one to get first.

@uberbadgadget Ask and ye shall receive

http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/14/kinect-available-november-4-with-15-launch-titles/

The launch titles are:

Misc: (3)
Sonic Free Riders
Kinectimals
Kinect Joyride

fitness games: (3)
EA Sports Active 2.0
Your Shape: Fitness Evolved
The Biggest Loser: Ultimate Workout

Sports ./ Exercise games: (4)
Kinect Sports
Adrenalin Misfits
Deca Sports Freedom
Motionsports

Dance Games:(2)
Dance Central
Dance Masters

Party Games:(3)
Zomba Party
Game Party: In Motion
Kinect Adventures

In total you have 4 sports / excercise games, 2 dance/excercise games and another 3 fitness/excercise game.. 9 games to get that Cardio Vascular work out ..

Then you can round it off with the 3 party games then finally stand up chill out and play some joyride or some sonic free riders (I would guess the controls would be pretty similar for both) or alternately sit there and pretend you can feel your pet lion/tiger/cat licking you through the screen and be a cute little girl shouting stop it skittles it tickles....

Im also curious to see how it will be working for Heavy Rain, might make me want to replay it.

Sorcery reminds me of a 3D, PS3/Move version of Torchlight (for PC), which is great!

Move; $50,
Nav: $30 (If needed)
Cam: $34

it's not that much like you people make it sound, tho I wish it was a bit cheaper - due to needing three components. (Wish it was $30 each "piece" xD)

@2Slick For TRUE comparison (Wii mote - Move, not Kinect to Move.. that way makes No sense to me)

Wii Remote Controller: $44.99, - vs- Move controller: $49.99
Wii Motion Plus (Seperate): $24.99 ($59.99 with Remote) -vs- Camera: $32.99 (At my local Blockbuster at least),
Nunchuk Controlle: $24.99 -vs- nav controller: $29.99

$60+$24.99 vs $50+30+$35 = not too much of a difference in price. Only difference in price would be not wanting the Motion Plus, or not wanting the Nav controller.

The price comparison stuff is a bit apples and oranges though as every Wii comes with one motion control setup where as every PS3 comes with one standard control setup.

Man what am I saying? All of this stupid shit is overpriced! I'm going to bed before I pre-order Kinect or something.

I think a list of titles whose Move functionality *requires* the Nav controller would be useful. So far, I can't think of any aside from SOCOM. For a lot of the casual-oriented titles, it looks like a pair of Move controllers is the way to go for enhanced functionality, rather than the Nav. So, if you get 2 Move controllers, it's sort of killing 2 birds with 1 stone: you have 2-player capability as well as enhanced 1-player capability. I'm curious how "necessary" the extra $30 for the Nav is, though.

Also, the new Time Crisis is coming in just 3 months?! Surprise, surprise.

No, I think it's when you want those games AND another system/accessory/games for another system where it gets problematic. You kind of get to where you prioritize your gaming purchases. For me, Kinect, several Wii and 360 games, and the 3DS plus launch titles are a priority to Move.
