Aren't the controls in Heavy Rain weird already, do we really need to add insult to injury?

I don't know why you were downvoted, but I agree. Replacing esoteric button presses with esoteric gestures is not an improvement. I tried this game, and just don't get the hype. It's a B-movie that constantly interrupts itself with random commands for the player/viewer.

You get used to the 'weird' controls pretty quickly, you still might mess up the occassional gesture, but that's part the fun - you play the game reguardless of the outcome & that's your story.. although I have no intrest in motion controls beyond tilting, Move could add a lot to the experience for some people

Please be free patch and please bundle the move with SOCOM 4.

I will put off beating Heavy Rain for a third time to get the last few gold trophies just in case the top two criteria are met. ;)

What this game really needs is an update where the "killer" changes depending on what you did/did not do throughout the game.

But I guess it'd just be easier to tack on some move support, sure.

I don't like to be pessimistic, but could this be the beginning of Move/Natal shovelware?

I can't remember Natal's real name... I don't have much interest in either of them.

Kinect.

god, there's the reason why I couldn't remember it. My brain blanked out the dreadful memory of it's name.

@Alex R

I think Sony is being a bit more vigilant about Shovelware then Microsoft is, look at Kinect launch titles, there isn't anything there that doesn't scream shovelware, they are all games that only your mother and sister could play for longer then a day while maintaining a happy, enjoyful smile.

LBP2, Heavy Rain, Killzone and Socom can hardly be classed as shovelware :/ Even PAIN is quite addictive, and that could be classed as shovelware, lol

@RobS the 3rd You dont need the Navigator, you can use the Sixaxis/dualshock. If you have the camera already you total move investment is only 50 bucks per controller that you choose to buy.

No if the Move didn't cost $80 ( $50 + $30 for both pieces, $100 if you don't have the eye toy) then it would be better.

I didn't mean to say Heavy Rain was Shovelware, but this may be the list of games to add Move support when they don't need them and/or suck with them.
And I hope MS and Sony are vigilant about the games. I think the 360 is trying to capture the Wii Market and Sony might try to pull off Move as an accessory which has more use than for the sub-15-years old market.

Actually making the killer change would improve the replayability because from one choice to the next the story would be more unpredictable each time. I actually have no doubt that they really intended to do this but the number of variables they'd have to build into the game would have created a much longer development time so they couldnt just patch something like that in.

Chances are this will be free for those who get PSN Plus.

Its the type of thing that Sony can pad the free stuff for the new subscription service.

I don't see why it shouldn't be free, I'm not even thinking about that :/

No one would pay subscription just to get Move to work with thier copy of Heavy Rain, thats lame.

@mixiboi Unlikely. Plus members are not anymore likely to buy the Move than any other user. If anything it should be free simply because it would benefit the sales of the game across the board not just some elitist group that may only be looking to get betas and cross chat.

Too bad you didn't play the game until the end. Then you could also complain about one of the worst stories you've ever seen. I mean, seriously.... It was bad. I felt like David Cage just stole my money and told me a bad joke while making me press the play button on a tape recorder that only played "Jason!" after each button press. It was that bad.

Lol, bad sarcasm mister gutts, it came off as if you didn't have the slightest clue of what you were talking about, but if you say the 'fanbois' interferred with the effectivness of your sarcasm, I believe you....... yeah, that last bit was sarcasm :D

@ RobS, the only reason you are looking at it from that perspective is because PS3 didn't originally start off with move, comparing it to the price a PS3 owner would have to pay to get a Wii with motion or an Xbox with Kinect (if it costs $150 like rumoured) $80 is dirt cheap. If you are looking at it from a none owners point of view, Wii is cheaper, but then that depends on what you wnat from your console and your games, both are still cheaper options then Kinect (if its $150 like rumoured).

Agreed, considering the motions used in the game were attempting to mimic motion anyway, this is a logical step. I actually found myself thinking this while playing it, that miming the activities would deepen the experience. The emotional toll the game takes on you could be translated to physical exhaustion.

I'm really looking forward to this. It was sometimes awkward to move the whole controller in some moments during Heavy Rain and I think the Move setup will actually make the game more comfy at some points.

Besides, I'm getting the Move for my Mom to use anyway, and it's a free patch, so I lose nothing by trying it out.
