@(Unverified) How about making another Def Jam fighting game that doesn't suck? Icon was terrible but that is no reason to terminate the franchise. Bring it back with current artists and more insane moves. FFNY was great, don't let that die!

Ugh, it's going to be so hard NOT to pick this up, if only for the novelty factor.

@Ezio Auditore da Firenze I like to think of it as the drunken awesomeness factor. More people know and like these songs than will admit it here, but if they were drunk in a bar and this song came on, they'd be singing along too. I approve!

@Omnistatic Have a few drinks and hang out in a room with the game and see what happens. An hour later you will be going "ROLLING DOWN THE STREET SMOKIN INDO SIPPIN ON JIN AND JUICE!!!" Watch. It'll happen...

Actually, I would've prefered a fighting game ALA Def Jam Fight for NY. Loved that game.

The game looks bad, but the thought put into the community features is really revolutionary!

Rap music is the exact same thing as hip hop music, it is not a sub genre of hip hop music. Anyone who says differently has no idea what they're talking about.

Should read hip hop / R&B. Fixed.

@(Unverified) I always thought hip hop and rap were under the same tree, with hip hop emphasizing more on the beat and the melodies rather than rapping (See Andre 3000, Timbaland), and that rap emphasizes more on the mastering rhymes and focuses more on lyrics (See Big Boi, Twista).

Where did this come from? Who was saying that Rap _isn't_ hip-hop music?

Hip-hop in itself is, considered to be the "culture" where as rap is the music, graffiti is the art, breaking is the dance, and I think DJ'ing is another element of it.

Scoff if you will, but that's how its considered, at least in the hiphop communities I used to frequent back in the day

In that case, never mind, although a lot of people still think rap is some subset of hip hop music.

I love rap and hip hop, so I'm probably going to pick this up. I can't wait for a track list.

So can you swear or not? Not that that's the backbone of rap by any means, but it's certainly omnipresent.

This is my question too. Some of the tracks announced so far would need to be pretty heavily edited.

Me and my friends get drunk almost every weekend and play singstar, and have always dreamed of having a rap version. Man, it couldn't have come any sooner? I'm going to love this game!
