Erm don't you mean that all the hands on have said it's a lot quieter? Some review says it's a problem now it's so quiet because of the new ring of light being crappy, they don't know if it's on or not compared to the old version which still makes my room rumble.

That being said I hope that this new 360 lives up to expectations. Surprisingly my Elite has lasted over a year which means I can transfer my licenses without any hassle from my old hard drive to the new one.
Has anyone received one yet?

I would recommend you get Mass Effect 1 if you want the full experience of ME2.
I just exported my ME1 character into ME2 yesterday when I finally got my copy and it's neat to see my decisions impact the 2nd game as much as they already have.

I'm ready to just focus on the games, and not the systems. :)

@Ezio Auditore da Firenze good deal putting the console wars behind you. i personally bought all three consoles and both handhelds so that i could play what ever is out there. I understand not everyone can afford to buy them all but i am not going to knock a single person for what they choose to play. I really wish people would grow up a little and enjoy what each consoles bring to the table that is unique.

Chances are the new 360 will have a much lower failure rate due to the improved cooling (1 giant fan on the side instead of 2 small fans in the back) and smaller chips (45nm CPU/GPU combined).
I'm guessing this is also the reason why Microsoft got rid of the 3 year warranty, because this redesign fixes the hardware problems of the original models.

Sold my old elite off in December to buy my second ps3(sold my first ps3 6 months after launch). I have absolutely no friends online with PS3 so figured it would fill my gaming needs, but keep myself out of trouble with the girlfriend due to limited investment in online gaming. I caved and bought a new Elite in March after a trip home and going to my friends places and watching them all playing each other on Live.. Timing couldn't be worse.. Kijiji Ad posted. Must. Get. Teh. GROD

The Kensington lock information in that chart is wrong. I have an Xbox 360 Elite bought in 2007 and it has support for the Kensington Lock (near the ethernet/rear USBs). I'm using it right now, locking it to my desk.

I can't be the ONLY one who figured out that the original xbox was fully capable of attaching a kensington lock to. When you get a sec, take a look at the back, the right hand side "slot" for the wireless adapter is pretty much the exact size of the lock slot. Back in 2005 (college drinkin' days) I actually just assumed that slot was for the Kensington lock. I certainly kept my sparkly new 360 locked up during the keg parties.

It says the original 360 has O Kinect ports while the new 360 has 1. I know the Kinect is compatible with old 360's, (right...?), but if the old 360 doesn't have the port...then...

This is pretty crappy of them. But it seems like it won't break because of the giant fan and smaller power brick that has vents in it. Plus it looks sexy.

UPS just dropped mine off. It looks great, and it's super quiet - like silent . However, the cable it comes with is composite only - no component, which sucks, though not for me since I am using HDMI. Might matter to some people though.
