Wait, this is a Wii game? Cool, I was sure they announced it as a DS game, though.

So cute >_<

Anyways, I remember you've always had the ability to interfere with your partner in all of the older Kirby co-op games. Had fun times in Kirby's Dream Land 3 trying to throw my brother into a hazard.

Actually, there is a game like this up on WiiWare already, but it may have gotten overlooked when it was released, Max & the Magic Marker (1,000 Points). It's a platformer where you guide a character around (a fictional version of yourself) a cartoonish world, where the real you can interviene at any time to draw objects into existence, but only have the ink collected within the level to work with. Your marker strokes are converted into objects with physical properties that allow the game to interact with them via the physics engine. So you can draw a see-saw and actually catapult things across the screen with it, among other things. You can also temporarily freeze time, allowing you to draw objects into a cartoonish rendering of the scene that will function when time is restored (great for shielding from anything that drops on top of you or sprays at you...)

Another thing it can be compared to is Nickelodeon's short lived "chalkzone" cartoon series.

Canvas Curse still has one of the most unique game mechanics out there. This looks to capture some of that. I look forward to this

It looks great but still more psyched for DKC. This is a brilliant position to be in where one Nintendo game which looks great trumps another which looks great. I'll probably pick up both if they end up well.
