Scott Pilgrim vs. PSN on August 10

If you don't mind spoiling the events of the Scott Pilgrim storyline before the movie (keeping in mind that it's all based on existing comics), you'll be able to play out the story in sprite-based brawler form three days before the movie hits.

At the Ubisoft booth displaying Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (look for our impressions soon!), an August 10 release date was posted next to the game demo. It's a timed exclusive for PSN, so if you're looking to play on Xbox 360, you'll have to endure an unspecified number of (evil) days before you can take on Ramona's evil exes.

I think JC was a little too eager to get this news out and hit the enter button before he finished typing "on the 360" at the end of the sentence. But hey, we got this 2.3 seconds faster and that's fine with me.

Probably because everyone is hoping online multiplayer will be put in the 360 version.

Wow loving the old school style this game is taking on. Kind of like Battle Toads vs Double Dragons and Stone Protectors. Also the art-style is phenomenal. Definitely will be dowloading this.

By the gods... this might be the first movie tie-in game I buy!

Even though I may or may not see the movie and knew NOTHING about the thing as a whole in general, the game looks fun and I'm almost definitely gonna buy it.

Just bought and read the first volume a couple days ago, and now I'm officially excited for this and the movie. Overall, the Scott Pilgrim stuff seems really cool, and I'm kind of wondering why I hadn't heard of it before now.
